Is this for existing Gold members also?
Guessing it's for non-gold members....
Yeah for silver. My old live acc has this offer but nothing on my gold acc.
Anyone bought this using paypal? Can you easily disconnect payment after 2 months . Please advise.
you can go into your paypal acc and stop the reoccuring payments, i have done mine
you can do it straight away and you dont have to wait 2 months either
Hot if it pops up on your dashboard! ..thanks for posting OP I'll look out for it..as I took advantage of the month for a quid offer i'm not used to looking for info / deals coming in so would someone kindly point me in the right direction please.
cheers.
Ive been paying £1 per month or £2 for 2 months for the last year and a half, All you do is cancel the auto renew and the offer will pop up the day after your previous gold account ends
These are posted all the time and are user specific.
Where can I find this offer on the dash ( if it's available for me)?

cheers - I tried their live help, but it wasn't working
You could just go on the Xbox website and turn off auto-renewal.
Thanks for this.
We were just about to bite the bullet & pay for family gold but have now done 2 x the above deal - bargain.
Just had this myself. Gold ran out so converted to Silver and then it appeared. Hope its there again in two months time!
Did not have this on my dashboard but went to cancel auto renew and it gave me 3 months for £7.50
I got 6 month for £15 quid on 20th of jan, so all depends when they offer
Voted cold as its only available to certain people, mainly people that have less than a week left before renewal
THanks for the useful tips of cancelling auto renew, Makes these kind of threads HOT
This is very user specific. Depends on what subscription your are currently on so not everyone will have it. Best bet is to wait till your gold expires and you are made a silver user and then the dashboard a day or two after.
My gold ran out yesterday so this has come at just the right time, shame u can only get it the once though
AAAAAAAAAAHHH STOP VOTING THESE HOT!

This is a brand new deal.Never been posted before.

That is a nice effort
I got this deal yesterday. Good deal for me as I'm a PS3 fan just moving over to 360 and unsure if 14 months would be worth it.

Quick bit of maths for you: what do you get it you add 1 + 1?
I am getting tired of Microsoft charging so much for Xbox Live normally, especially when these deals keep cropping up people are going to get fed up with paying out extortion for yearly subs.

They need to reduce or ditch the cost of playing games online.

You got well and truly shafted, thats £30 for 12mths, I've NEVER paid that much..... sometimes you have to do the maths peeps, this why Tesco get away with offers like 3 for £3 on products retailing for 95p etc READ THE OFFER!!!

I pay full price for a 12 months Live, not fed up as it's once a year and the price of a game, I don't care about paying. If you are not happy then it's simple, don't pay and go buy a PS3 where the online is free or there is the alternative way of ringing them up and getting them to reduce the price of a year which many people do.

I think the point was you can only get 1 of those £1 for 1 month deals, you can't stack. With this you're getting 2 months for £2 without stacking also. Two completely different deals for the same product, so I'm with Shengis on this one, if you're gonna give an example of past threads then they should all be £2 for 2 months. The last time it was posted was over 8 months ago anyway so I don't see the point in you're post.

Yeah, less than 8p a day (if you shop around), robbing gits, I could buy so much with that, damn you Microsoft!!!

Wrong. Read all of the previous threads listed, as well as this one. It can be stacked a bunch of times.

That was a glitch with their site if I remember correctly which has been fixed so you can't do that anymore. My point still stands.

There's no mention of stacking in this thread so I don't know where you got that from.

I think you totally missed my point..or are you trying to iterate the futility of phoning Microsoft after what I said!?!?

If they as I said reduced the cost to start with from their £30+ a year, then there would be no need to phone them up...and/or take these offers on the dashboard instead.

It is simple...you are right I don't pay...have only had two months of Xbox Live in the past year, I use my PS3 instead.

I once again was making a point that these "enticing" dashboard offers from Microsoft are just putting potential customers like myself off having a 12 month inflated price subscription.

It's not everyday of the week I want to play video games online and having to pay inflated prices for it to me is peeing money up the wall.
Why don't you buy a family pack, £70 split it with your friends or family... £17.50 a year it will work out...

No sorry, you said people will get fed up paying full price for Live, I was just stating that I am not fed up paying that price, I've been doing it for 3-4 years.
I understand what you are saying but their pricing has always been like this and they won't bring it down because a few people aren't happy paying it, that wont change even though I would welcome a price drop. Like I said, I am happy paying full price as it's only once a year and my usage justifies me paying it. If like you say you don't use it often online then 12 months will be no use to you and deals like this are better as £1 or £2 is nothing. Plus these are the kinds of deals that attract new customers, ones that have never been on Live before and they get to experience what it's all about for a few quid, until they want more then they pay full price of which there's nothing we can do if they find it expensive or not.
I have a PS3 also, but I still pay for 12 months Live which get's used a lot more.
