Xbox live gold ....how to save 63% on a yearly subscription....£5.99 a month

Found 23rd Feb
So, I've done this 3 times now and my friends have found this works.
you let your gold run out and then you add Microsoft credit, let's say £30 you then leave it in you Xbox account and wait a week, they won't even display an offer but when you look at the year subscription, it will be £26.50.
I'm guessing they know you have credit to spend and they want you to spend it so they put the offer there.
It takes a week the offer to be there, so no point keep checking it.

Guess it 34% from a yearly subscription
Sigh this is account specific and doesn’t always work it’s random. Many of us on here have had our live expire and not get any offer of a cheaper subscription. You can get a year on cdkeys for about £32 anytime and on eBay there’s usually some for around £30

Works for me everytime, as long as you have credit to spend they give the offer after a week.

Did you have Xbox credit when waiting for this offer, that to me seems to be the difference.
That's good to know now how can I get my hands on some cheaper credit?

Zeek is OK but they go quickly
They keep offering me 1 month for £1. Never went more than a week without gold before I get the offer. Account specific ofc but always keep an eye out for it.
yeah this is very common, if you regularly pay for a yearly membership and it ends, after a few weeks, this offer comes up whether you have credit or not.
I thought u couldn't use wallet credit to buy subscriptions? Least that's how it's in the us store

Never had that offer but maybe it's because I put credit in my account.

You can if you do it via a PC
I just waited a couple of days once it ran out and it appeared in the dash at £26.50 for the year - just cancelled it auto re billing for the same next year (hopefully) I had no credit in account btw
I got this offer when mine was running out, without having credit in the account. Also, where do you get 63% from?
They have already got your money. Why would having credit trigger an offer??
Does anyone know if playstation ever offer these sort of discounted deals.

I only had the offer the day my live expired and thought I'll buy it the next day as I was busy and the offers gone and it's not coming back last month we got the £1 offer.
There are always many sub £30 offers on here/CD Keys and other sites. Just need to shop around.

i guess it's different for us in the us. we can't pay for subscriptions or backwards compatible 360 games on the one or on the pc with microsoft credit

You cant buy 360 games with credit- but have you tried buying gold with it? On a PC, I didnt believe I could until I tried and saw it worked- no reason US would be different to UK
Just had 1 month for £2.49 appear on my 360 dashboard.
I had the 99p for 1 month that expired last weekend.

I will probably take this as the offers don't stay there for ages and I can get also Crazy Taxi free with GWG.
Daughters Xbox gold just ran out an hour ago she got an offer of 1 year at £26:50 if you buy now but it's a subscription second year £39:99 so just cancel subscription before the next year is due no problem

If you paid £5.99 a month.
Then this would save you 63%

Nobody pays £5.99 a month. Anyone who doesn’t buy a year at a time is just throwing money away.
