GOW can be purchased for £20, rare replay £15 and Ori is about £10. That will leave you for a European version of console (which is fine by all means and an be easily converted using a uk plug) costing £255. But my question is does it worth it? I personally didn't fancy this deal... However for those who are going to purchase this and don't have a fee free card, I suggest using revolut app.

£255 for a 1TB version with the newer controller. I can see some people thinking that is a reasonable deal TBH.

That's true but also you're missing all these rakuten deals coming up monthly. It was just last week I saw someone put a deal for 1tb version console for £280ish given you back about £75 of rakuten points. Wouldn't that be enough to purchase all these games afterwards with some extra points back in your account too? Hence the reason I said I don't fancy this deal but again just because it's not good for me it doesn't mean it's not for everyone!

didnt those rakuten points have to be spent within 7 days or something

whats rakuten policy like if it becomes faulty, can i send it back within 12 months for a replacement? easily enough without having to pay postage costs etc

They have to be spent before 30th October, I bought a New Nintendo 3DS and I'm still waiting for my points

That's obviously your perogative, I personally thought (working on your calculations) a £255 1TB Xbox One was a good price, it is unfortunate that we can't go back in time 13 days and purchase one of the stated consoles from Rakuten (which incidentally were also EU models).

Rakuten is just like eBay or Amazon. You're not buying from them mate, it's the retailers like simply games, base, game seek etc who are listing their items there. So in case of fault, you're going to deal with the retailer but rakuten will back you up (although their customer service is not as good as Amazon or eBay). The points are usually promotional and time to time have their own policy. Sometime are valid for a week sometimes a month, sometimes more. Also there are two types of points, ones you get for spending money and ones are they credit it as promotion. Usually the promotional ones are the one with short life span, lol.

True mate, we can't go back in time but we can be patient and wait as rakuten has been doing this almost every month aside from the fact we all know the insole prices are dropping with a good slope

Sorry im confused, i buy items from amazon, from amazon on amazon, or i buy fullfilled by amazon, and if i have a problem i go to amazon, have an online chat, and they tell me to send it back free of charge.

Like you, I think this deal will be beaten in the run up to Christmas. But for those like to shop for their presents early and who want that exact package then I can see them thinking that they might as well just get this one now.

I passed on the Rakuten XBone deals for a similar reason; I didn't really want to be saddled with £75 or whatever of points that I only have 3 weeks in which to spend when I think that a sub £250 XBone complete with a AAA game will be available in the next two months from a UK supplier. For others however, a few games/DVDs/CD's here or there will soon eat into those points.

As I explained you're not dealing with rakuten directly. If you buy from for example shopto on rakuten, the you're dealing with shopto' return policy on faulty products. Although rakuten will give you a hand if you contact them but there's no live chat; email or phone call and to give a heads up, they're very slow with replying back to emails.
I vote Hot coz there's no Fifa! looks good to me.
Nice find op

Nice find
Good price.
how long do you have to wait for the rakuten points? if you get them as soon as you purchase the xbox then I presume you can spend them on games/dvds/etc straight away?

I ordered late morning on Monday 5th October, the last day of the promotion.
My order arrived at lunchtime on Tuesday 6th October.
7625 points were in my account yesterday (Tuesday 13th October).

I've checked again today and there are plenty of items that I can use the points on. I was quite tempted to pre-order Rainbow Six Siege (not for me though) for free using points, but I've noticed that it says "5x points valid until 23:59 15th October", which makes me wonder if there will be more bonus points available in a few days time or whether it will remain at 5x.

The birthday bonus promotion points are valid until the 31st October, but the basic points earned on the deal have no expiry.

*edit:
Total Points 7,625 Points
Regular Points 305 Points
Limited Time Points 7,320 Points 7,320 Points valid until 31/10/2015
