I can't understand why these deals get hot for just a second hand console when you can get brand new Xbox One bundles for £250. Surely it's worth paying the few extra quid and getting a nice new one with a game?

Comes with warranty the same as a new console, maybe the games don't interest people either.

They are most likely returns so it is not like thay are knackered. Buy this for £219 and nip to Smyths and get a copy of Titanfall for £5 and you're laughing. I think some people (you) forget what this site is all about and this is the cheapest this console has been for a refurb so why should it not be posted?

Click cold and move on if it is not for you.

One and a half ton by xmas (_;)

its got a 12 month warranty same as a new one, so it doesn't matter surely! and tesco are pretty good if anything goes wrong with stuff.

If you buy a new one though under EU law you have 2 years to get a repair, usually 6 months for a refund but up to 2 years for a repair if it is not through mis-use, in England and Wales you have up to 6 years for a repair if you can prove that the fault was caused by a manufacturing error, not sure where you stand with refurbished it may just be 12 months and that is it, might be worth the extra for new.

New or refurbished - same rule applies for both. Speaking from experience, as I got Apple to replace a refurbished ipad which went kaput after just over 2 years.

This was posted after the other Tesco deal, I think OP realises that this is £20 cheaper than new.

that and the fact a new one wont have traces of poo

(yeah I'm sure mine has a bit of my poo on somewhere before anyone comments)

I said I'd bite when it got below £200.... I'm starting to regret saying that... I thought it'd be next year before it even got close... At this rate I'll have one before the summer!

You get hotukdeals. It's doesn't matter what you think about a deal. If it's the cheapest it's been (either ever of in recent memory), then it should be hot. I hate Mac's, but if a mac is the lowest price it's ever been, I vote hot.

When you break down the parts that is in a xbox this is about the right price. Even as a pc gamer have to say this is a good price.

Crumbly

Explain to me why that is then?

Right that's a bonus then.

Under consumer law in the UK, consumers are entitled to a free of charge repair or replacement, discount or refund by the seller, of defective goods or goods which do not conform with the contract of sale. For goods purchased in England or Wales, these rights expire six years from delivery of the goods and for goods purchased in Scotland, these rights expire five years from delivery of the goods.

If an item you bought anywhere in the EU turns out to be faulty or does not look or work as advertised, the seller must repair or replace it free of charge or give you a full refund or reduction in price.

Within six months from receipt of the goods, you just need to show the trader that they are faulty or not as advertised. But, after six months in most EU countries you also need to prove yourself that the defect already existed on receipt of the goods, for example, by showing that the defect is due to the poor quality of materials used.

very £279 buy now pay 12 months

A great deal. MS certainly seem to be pushing the Xbox now. I finally bought the Xbox One by way of the MS £249 deal that they were offering to a limited number of people by email. I would have got this if that deal had not come along. Now just have to decide whether to keep the Xbox 360 or not.

The problem I have with the new consoles is that there's nothing I'm desperate to play. And the games I'm interested in Halo 5 & Tomb Raider aren't coming out for a while so I'm in no rush and till them I'm happy with my PC.
