It's PS4 with the upgraded console I think, not the xbox
Majorly overpriced for the games involved - I got dance central for 3 quid zoo tycoon 7.99 and Kinect rivals for 15.99

Unlikely. Next releases will almost certainly be slim versions. I have read of talk that the next PS will be released sooner than expected (5 year cycle, rather than 7) but that any hardware changes will be included in that release.

£238.38 for a "good" / £244.12 "very good" rated console from Amazon warehouse. [Extra £20 deducted at checkout]

No there have been rumours of PS4.5, supposedly Sony have started discussing it with developers

Wonderful spot. Worth submitting that as a deal.

Yep it's gonna happen def on the Xbox one, making it more powerful, the end of the day though, games on all formats this gen have run out of ideas, the golden era for games was when the Xbox 360 and PS3 was at their peak.still play Xbox 360 more than any other console and been playing for over 30 years.

Microsoft recently hinted at upgrading consoles. I suspect rather than have a business model like the currrent one (360, xone / psone, 2, 3, 4) they'll have a main system for 10 years.

Every few years they'll offer upgrades, likely only GPU, but possibly more. AMD are launching external gpu tech, this tech uses thunderbolt, so not sure how they'll manage with usb 3.

Now they are using pc tech, this is easily achievable. No problems with architecture or backwards compatibilty, essentially what the Steam box's are, but even less variety, to begin with.

Instead of 500Gb, 1TB systems, they would offer basic or 1080p, a medium spec and a 4k system. It could possibly only be 2 teirs.

The slim models would incorporate any upgrades introduced. This would certainly made the model base more convoluted, but who knows?

For someone who doesn't know, but has managed to read the current gossip plucked from one quote from Phil spencer made you certanley seem precise.......do you have powers
Re. "upgrades", I think they'll actually be new consoles (due to inability to do a hardware upgrad, cost of doing so and failure of prior console attempts) but unlike before they'll be compatible and run the same software as the current gen. Thus, when you buy a game it'll run on both systems just at different resolution etc. according to which model console you have. At least a year off though imo and more likely two.
Microsoft have been gearing up for ages for scalability across multiple platforms with Windows 10 and dx12. Never liked the idea of removable components though, hope it's just an updated xbone. Sony nuggets(not all pony's, you know the type) are now stating a 4K rig is around the corner based on God knows what information. No one knows at the mo, but god if I have to read any more drivel involving console wars lol. This is a good deal for a good console, if your on the fence about jumping in now or waiting, don't any significant step up in tech is going to cost a lot more to achieve anything vaguely noticeable in real world performance.
£280.97 been dropping all day
Great price shame it cant be send abroad. HEAT added.
Its been heading this way for a while. The only reason they've kept up with pc is the closed format and pc industry being poor.

Firstly, Xbox One is now on a custom Windows 10 os. The only thing which will stop the upgrade console business model, is if they manage ti convince enough people to go all in for cloud streaming. Believe me, this is what most companies want, but it is the worst outcome for the end user.

The pc industry has got it's act together alot over th years in terms of support. Steamboxes introduced standard settings, asort of midway point between a pc and standardised console format.

Mobiles are progressing much faster than consoles also. Nintendo, NINTENDO - have even gegan making moves into this segment.

Sony have began porting games for mobiles, after abandoning their previous efforts, which were aimed more at trying to poach mobile devs.

I imagine future systems will have (Nintendo NX could be the first) A home base console, a mobile variant (Dreamcast virtual memory unit) and streaming to registered devices (mobiles, possibly pc)

Nothing new really, old tech that will be grouped and touted as revolutionary.

There are so many directions things could actually go.

I just know that the coprations like Sony and Microsoft just want you to subscribe and stream ultimately. Nintendo just want us to stay in the 80's when then were great (I love Nintendo, despite hating them)
Wall of text - END

I never owned a Dreamcast, but it's funny to see just how revolutionary it truly was. How many times the best console has crash and burned.

Almost always the way. The best marketing sells sadly.

A great example of where justice has been done is with Android phones mind.

The one from Amazon directly doesn't include a 3.5mm controller or at least never for my order. Just a bit hit and miss what one you get I guess rather than guaranteed as must still have older stock too!
