Also getting that error on the other account, Although I must point out this is after selecting to split the deliverys, to prevent the November 3rd delivery date.

Well iirc correctly Nov 3rd is CoD release date anyway, so collect X1 from store and just sit back and await games.

Heat added.

Just buy Forza instead, that is already released (_;)

BTW OP great find. Had reserved one of the Argos deals but this is a better option for me. Thanks and heat added

Actually, games are cheaper now than they were 20 years ago... despite the fact development costs have increased massively!

Full price in Game they have had a jump for the current generation, but if you shop round a lot of titles are still just over £40 for a new release which isn't too bad. As has been said, console games cost more on the SNES and that's before you take into account depreciation.
If you get twenty hours game play out of it and then sell it for half what you paid that's only cost you about a pound an hour which isn't at all unreasonable.

Oh, and even though I don't want an XBone, this is a very attractive price.

Yep, that Return of The Jedi price was actually cheap as the SNES was becoming petty dated by 1994. The newer gen games were all around £60!
Edited by: "mamboboy" 6th Oct 2014

£60 was the standard for a new game on the N64. Around the same time you could get PS1 games for half that.

Think I paid £69.99 for tempest X on the Atari Jaguar the day of release so if anything since moving away from cartridges they are actually cheaper, but slightly more expensive than last gen. Which will drop after the consoles age a bit more it's just retailers taking advantage for price differences atm as retail prices were set the same as last gen.

How much do you think i'd get charged id I ordered and then refused delivery of the console and just kept the games?

Full price on both games I would imagine.

well as much as i want the latest games I aint paying £40+ !!

Yeah I remember Super streetfighter 2 on the SNES, the demand for that game at the time was huge, people were getting it on import for £100+!

Scorchio

Will probably get cancelled but £296.10 with staff discount!

Cheers OP hot price

yup hence developers jumped ship to cd on ps1.....n64 was limited on cart hence 64dd and eventually gamecube cd

on a par with argos deal

Carts cost more to produce so they were 50 60 quid in them days. 50 for a disc now in some places ie argos...its all relative I guess..

Looking for either the ps4 or xbox one for my son this Christmas. This seems a good deal as he would like the new call of duty game.

Just a bit confused with which console to get him. It seems that people have a favorite and will defend it, same as Apple and Android.

Is there really that much between them?

Thanks

Get him the one his mates have/are getting.

The differences between the consoles aren't huge enough to justify being the only one of the group with the other console. I prefer the PS4 but I'd much rather be playing Halo with 4 mates than Killzone on my own.

I think there's a £10 off new customer code around somewhere.

£320 for the Xbone with Alien Isolation and FH2 is MEGA tempting.
