Why'd anyone want a refurb on a controller that's known for going wrong very easily.

Because it's cheaper than a new one?
I’ve ordered from them previously (a refurb Xbox controller) and had to send it back as three buttons didn’t work. There were also clear signs it has been repaired. Wouldn’t recommend.
I can only go from personal experience but I ordered one last month. It arrived within 24 hours and was clean, clearly unused but not in a retail box. No issues so far other than my kid threw it on the floor - hard - and dislodged one of the little grey plastic pieces inside. Took it apart and glued it back in place. Been working fine.
Have white ones at the same price as well, usually £50, so heat added...
Would the white or black controller work with the wireless adapter for the PC?
Anyone used these with an Nvidia Shield 2017. Curious how they compare to the included controler.
Anyone might know why it wont let me use a code?

All Xbox one controllers work with the "Wireless Adapter for Windows 10" as they call it. They are not comptible with the old 360 wireless adaptor (the one with a cable).

Going by the pictures on eBay, all but the top 2 on the right are v3+ so also can connect via Bluetooth. BT connection doesn't support chatpads, headsets etc, so you are still better off with the adaptor.

I've got the black one and it doesn't even need an adapter. As long as you have windows 10 and Bluetooth connectivity it should work. I used to use the old Xbox 360 controller and that does need the adapter, but these don't seem to.

I just found this on the Microsoft site:

On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the bumpers are.

The images on eBay seem to vary, so maybe check with the seller whether they are the newer Bluetooth model before buying if you want to use Bluetooth.

Is it? Had 4 for many years and they've all been fine, bar one which had a slight RB bumper problem

Exactly my thoughts had a few controllers over the years and not happy with the pricing but they only have a certain life due to the constant thrashing.. And exactly what is a refurb is it just a quick wipe with a damp cloth or is it a full refurb with new parts ie sticks that wander over time which is really annoying when your character just keeps moving on its own.... I find it's better just to accept it and buy one. When its on a deal ie under £40
Wish they would specify what has been refurbished.

OK they do sort of says grade b
Grade b lightly soiled with scratches
Packaging maybe soiled but then goes on to say brown boxed so it does seem to be wet wiped over and chucked in a brown box
Which will be naff for an Xmas pressie on the cheap maybe worth chucking the box and stuff it in a stocking

Even worse read some of the bad feedback
Controller not working
Controller not even cleaned
