Unfortunately they can't. The business model for consoles just isn't designed that way. They have to recoup R&D costs and each unit has components of a certain value. It's a shame, because if they did give them away, there'd be a stampede.
It says you get x-men on blueray. The big yellow text gives it away.

Get some light in your lives guys!
People like me? I have a gaming PC and a Xbox One so don't judge me.
The price on that link is £291.92 not £250. I was just making the point that £250 for a good gaming console, all complete and ready go, is great value in my opinion. Also there are several great exclusives on Xbox One, so it's worth it just for those.
You're the one that brought price into it when you stated you could build a comparable gaming PC for around that price. Not only do you link to something that's nearly 20% more expensive, it doesn't include an OS, keyboard or mouse so we're looking at, what, another ~£100 assuming you go for Windows.
Your rhetoric is boring. Go back to the cancer that is /r/pcmasterrace.

My random thoughts.
PC with Steam and an Xbox controller is very close to a console look and feel. It seems to me that all 3 systems suffer with gaming bugs nowadays so it's usually game specific.
Consoles are way cheaper overall though. If you buy disc games you can play and sell on to negate the initial game price difference - it may even be cheaper overall. How often do I play Steam games I've completed? Very rarely so owning it forever is a non issue.
Consoles lack of CPU grunt is holding them back in this generation. 1080p at 60 fps is a pipe dream in most games which is pretty lame.
Gap between PS4 and Xbox One is minimal.
Kinect is pants.
The PS4 has a really snappy OS this time - the PS3 always felt slow to me. The Xbox doesn't feel as agile but is still good.
The Xbox One allows you to play all video file types so is a great media player. The PS4 is pretty much useless as a media player.
The PC does way more than just play games. Stick Kodi on it, use a mouse and keyboard, use Ms office, browse with ease, emails etc. Endless uses really.
Windows 10 and Xbox One integration should be very interesting.
Heat added as it gets closer to the sub £200 price.
Wow, really? Either you need a new PC or some glasses.

OK - build me a comparable PC for £249.
The jpeg picture in the first post does not display on my work PC and I can only see the thumbnail in the top right hand corner.
No deal at either the Farnborough or Woking Superstores.....could this just be store-specific ?
That's what I thought but the post was made before midnight yesterday.....so thought it meant today ?

No, it isn't.
I'm bringing it back
Halo is working thank you.
looks like the prices of xbone are tumbling down...
obviously no code
If anything it shows how *little* you get for the same money.
Doubt my local has them though
From the pic it looks like Assassins Creed 4 and Unity as well as Halo

The big yellow text cannot be seen clearly on my work PC.
I've never seen an x-men blueray before.
