If you're paying £150 for a controller you're doing it wrong

What's special about this controller to warrant such a high RRP?

Its got the word elite in its name

It's pretty impressive tech, but I found it amusing that after all that … It's pretty impressive tech, but I found it amusing that after all that they're still using standard AA batteries like it's 1989.

I'd much prefer to have AA batteries in a controller. High quality rechargeable batteries like Eneloops are amazing in controllers, easily 5x better than built-in batteries so are alot more convenient. Also you can use a fast charger to charge batteries from dead to maximum in an hour, so if you have more than a pair of these batteries (and you should as quite a few devices uses AAs, e.g. clocks and remotes) you can swap dead batteries out in a flash. And even better, once you charge the battery and leave it, these high quality AA batteries retain more than 80% of their charge for over a year.

Easily the biggest feature I miss having switched from 360 to PS4.

Mine's still showing up in "Orders" (though I suspect it'll disappear from there some time soon).

Definitely worth a try, though - and you never know, a few might slip through the net.
TBH if it doesn't turn up I'll be calling watchdog. They advertised it at this price, so they have to sell it to me at this price. None of this bllks about it only being an invitation to treat. It clearly advertised the price, so isn't a misprice!
Hope they don't take payment any time soon. I've ordered twenty of them - gonna make me a mint on ebay.

    House?

My xbox360 uses AA, I use rechargeables, can change them in seconds and always have spare, so I never have interrupted gaming.

My brand new PS4 uses a built in battery, which although a tiny bit lighter than the batteries in the 360 controller, has a much lower gameplay time. And I can't change it, so I have to have it plugged in to the console via a usb lead.

Please explain how this is possibly moving forward. Moving bleedin backwards if you ask me.

UK site doesn't list a price but it's the same ETA: October is quite some time away, so you don't want to pay up front for them to hold on to your money so long and then cancel. If you choose a method where you don't pay, though, there's much less risk.

You're meant to charge the controller when the console is in rest mode... That way you get 4-5 hours of gameplay and just charge it when you aren't playing it. Only saying it as it sounds like you aren't doing that but charging it when the console is fully turned on

That's why I said "standard AA batteries". If they gave you rechargables … That's why I said "standard AA batteries". If they gave you rechargables to begin with wouldn't you be better off? Or a rechargeable battery pack like the play and charge kit, which it makes sure to mention is sold separately.

I don't care if a controller comes with crappy std AA batteries, or crappy rechargeable batteries, I probably wouldn't use either. I have decent AA rechargeable ones which last days of playing on the 360, days... not flipping 4 hours!
Then I can change them in seconds, not like on the PS4, where I then plug the controller in using the brilliantly sized 2 foot usb lead included.

Had to order for this price. The equivalent Scuf will be £100+ and a standard Xbox controller isn't far off £45, great deal!

When will these websites learn? If they don't know the RRP then don't put it up for sale.

It's hilarious the amount of people that still don't know their basic … It's hilarious the amount of people that still don't know their basic rights and still bang on about trading standards, watchdog etc. A retailer is covered for mispriced items, it happens all the time. They don't owe anyone anything. Even if something isn't mispriced, the advertised price is not binding either.

If someone puts a £1 sticker on something in my local highstreet, and I push a pound coin into the shop assistant's hand do you think I can then legally walk away with the goods?
  36. Rock0Jest's avatar
If it makes anyone feel better I have had nearly all the good deals purchased through HUKD cancelled......I'm due a win and not had my gamestop email of doom yet
  37. deleted1075301's avatar
But online sales involve an automated service and will accept all transactions because there's no one physically there to accept your payment and rectify the issue at the point of transaction. Once someone does notice it, then they can cancel it. Not the same walking into a shop and doing it online, thus there's different requirements.
