Product Description

Improve your performance and fit

Swap between a variety of metal thumbsticks and D-pads for personalized control and ergonomics. Discover configurations that can improve accuracy, speed, and reach with thumbsticks of different shapes and sizes.

The Xbox Elite controller adapts to your hand size and play style. You'll experience better control whether you play FPS, racing, fighting, or other genres. The new, faceted D-pad enables more confident combo execution, while the traditional D-pad provides precise control to change weapons or call in a strike

Control, combinations, and confidence

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller has four slots for interchangeable paddles. Easily attach and remove them without any tools. Choose to attach some or all of the paddles, and configure the controller to what's best for you.

The paddles give your fingers more control, so you can execute devastating moves and experience more efficiency. Now you don't have to take your thumbs off the thumbstick to execute intricate jump, aim, and shoot combinations. With the app*, you can assign a wide range of inputs to each paddle.

*App available on Xbox One and Windows 10

Fire faster with Hair Trigger Locks

With the flip of the Hair Trigger Locks, you can fire more quickly and save valuable time with each trigger pull. Hair Trigger Locks stop the trigger movement after the shot and get you ready for the next one. Simply flip the switch again to get back to full-range trigger motion. Each trigger has its own Hair Trigger Lock for independent control. Within the app, you can further fine-tune trigger settings.

This is what performance feels like

Every surface and detail is designed to meet the rigorous demands of competitive gamers.

Stainless steel thumbstick shafts, D-pads, and paddles are built to last. Low-friction, reinforced rings around each thumbstick minimize wear and provide buttery-smooth action.

Rubberized diamond grip gives the controller a more substantial feel while providing more stability. The enhanced grip also allows you to hold the controller with less effort, so you can play longer and more comfortably. The soft-touch finish on the top case provides a luxurious feel and nonslip control.

To be fair, Dex. I've had a fair few items from these guys, and when they grade their items, they grade them well. Pretty much to the standard of Boomerang. I've had a Xbox One controller (standard) from these guys that was graded A- and it actually arrived new and sealed with a slight dent in the box.

You missed the AC origins Argos deal? £99 in store (spend £1 and get a £10 gift card). Sold the game to CEX for £35... Unless of course you don't have the stores in transport distance

Read the other threads on these and be warned, they are great devices but have SERIOUS and well known issues. Ours was treated like a prince and the crappy LB button still broke after 4mths. MS will replace within 12mths BUT only offer a 3mth warranty.... probably because they know they are crap!

There will be people who will say this is a load of tosh, I thought the same...until ours broke!! You have been warned

Microsoft will replace within 12 months and offer the remainder of your 12 months warranty or 3 months, whichever is longer. So that's quite misleading what you are saying here.

Please quote the warranty terms that say any repair is only covered for 3 months provided the item is within it's original warranty period?

When I had an issue with my standard controller, MS live chat told me they only offer 3 months warranty on controllers. Loads of people on Reddit have had the same problem with the elite and 3 months warranty from Microsoft

They've been misinformed then.
That's the law in the US - a 3 month warranty is standard there and they must have been misinformed by outsourced support.

Is this the reddit thread?
reddit.com/r/x…cy/

That's for US based customers.
Not sure why they are complaining, it's the same for all electronics of that nature in the US.

Reading more posts on reddit confirms this, lots of people complaining about the 3 month US warranty vs 12 month for UK

Haha yeah I know they've got a pretty good reputation, I'm just an anti-second-hand-things snob

Yes I missed that! I'll keep a look out for something similar if I don't get one on black Friday

Too many little crevices in controllers for people to push in bits of poo, bogies and bum sweat and sweaty willy paste - before leaving for CEX for my taste in controllers.

There's been countless threads since the controller released. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, I'm saying Microsoft support need to follow this, because they also told me 3 months when I contacted them which just creates hassle getting it sorted.

Defo support are in the wrong here.
You can register your device yourself and it's all self service for returns if you go on the xbox service site...

Good luck finding one I'm sure something for Black Friday will come up.

Currently there's this, which isn't as good from Argos as the last

Keep an eye out for Amazon warehouse too! Although they are supposedly used, anything I've ordered Like New or even Very Good has been new and unused, just not always sealed.

Apologies for the misunderstanding, there was no intention to misinform, why would I? I can confirm that yes, MS said that there was a 3mth warranty but after a bit of an argument, they confirmed that the remainder of my 12mth warranty would still apply. So as I said to them, these things have a habit of breaking after 4-6mths, so at some point in the next 6-9mths I'm going to be left with a knackered pad that they won't replace despite KNOWING that there's a fault.

As I said, I'm warning people of the inherent problem with these pads. I loved mine, it felt great, despite the lack of Bluetooth, it felt very premium. The bumper bar is the only crap component and it fails! You can argue semantics all day, and if you're happy to pay £100 a year for a "premium" product, fine, but I think people need to know what they are buying in to

Fair comment was just rambling about the warranty really. These should have 2 years+ really for the amount they cost.
I'd go with the old Amazon fraud method by ordering and returning but keeping the invoice as a proof of purchase for obtaining morally deserved service...if I was dishonest.

well they are being dishonest by not fixing what is a very well reported fault so I'd not lose any sleep

I just returned mine to Game for a credit refund, which I used to get a £60 MS Credit and one of the special edition normal pads, I was really miffed as this is a great pad... that one weakness is just unforgivable and rendered ours useless

You have up 6 years protection against a faulty product(in England, 5 in Scotland), with the retailer who sold you said item. Regardless of what warranty is offered. You will however have to prove that the product has an inherent fault by getting an independent report. I've has this done free of charge by local repair shop on a 3 year old Xbox one. I was then offered a settlement which exceeded the cost of a newer S model so can't complain.

I got this controller when it was released and not had any problems, thus far. I love it.

home & Garden on eBay are cruddy as hell, they say refurbished but when it arrives i GUARANTEE itll be covered in crud and sweat and dead skin....

I'd rather buy from CEX for the warranty

Had mine over a year and it works fine, then I do tend to treat my accessories with care....i.e. not covered in gunk and scum and usage from every Tom, Dick and Harry.

I even bought a second one..........
