Appreciate if this might not fit some people's need. But for whoever is looking for one this seems like a good price. I've ordered from these guys before (as many others may have done too) and most stuff they advertise as grade A+ are coming new (with slight damage to packaging). Current price for a new one is around £110.

I ordered a game in A+ condition from them last month and it came factory sealed. Didn't need o spend on a UV light at all.

tempted as one of the buttons is starting to stick on mine.

Is this a refurb? It doesn't say in the title?
If it's a brand new unopened pad with a scuffed box as it seems from the description then it's gonna go 1000°+ very quickly!

Elite controller? Maybe have a whinge to MS and see if they will fix or replace. You payed enough for the controller, least they can do!

Cracking price and the controller is great to use hopefully they'll release a newer version with the added Bluetooth etc

I think when you see that something is graded, it should tell you that it isn't new, unless my thinking is completely wrong

Just ordered, been looking for one for a while but couldn't justify £120 odd. Thank you, heat added

Bloody great controller - significantly better than the standard one, well worth the X2 pricetag..... Love it for pc gaming

Great controller but I was hoping there one of the swappable sticks was shorter than default. They're all longer.

So tempted.

I like my controller but it does disconnect sometimes for no reason and I need to reboot the PC.

My RB did that called Argos they gave me Microsoft number to get a fault ref which I did and called Argos back and they arranged a replacement to be collected at the nearest available store the same day.

£70 for someone else's crusty controller. No thanks.

Pick one.

I really regret buying mine. I've had two fail in 2 years now. First one got stick drift so i couldn't drive with it and now the LB on my 3 month old replacement has failed. GAME are refusing to replace as it is now out of the original warranty.

I've never had a £35 Xbox 360 controller fail but now two £120 controllers.

I've never heard of that on an Xbox. Have you tried someone else's elite controller to see if the problem persists and could be a hardware issue with your PC?
The only connection issues I've seen are on pads that have been dropped/thrown and significantly damaged.

"No signs of use" is all well and good until a bogey falls out of the trigger.

Bumpers are an easy fix. There's sellers on eBay that will repair and send back, or you can buy the bumpers and fix it yourself ~£9 plus your time. It'll be as good as new provided you haven't broken the retaining piece on the frame of your controller which rarely breaks anyway.

It's the same controller as a standard one except it has rear paddles and a profile switch added.

If you have a standard 3.5mm controller (not S) you can make a replica without the rear paddles very easily..

Yeah they're making the Gen2 elite and it's a significant improvement over the standard One S pad by the looks of it!
I'm concerned that there is a weak link in the One S pads though.. on the 3.5mm it was the bumpers that kept failing which the One S doesn't suffer from.
The Bluetooth pad has a common failure of the thumbstick module where one of the retainer clips breaks and leaves the thumbstick with a lot of play in a clockwise/anti- clockwise movement (twisting movement) which makes playing shooters very difficult and needs a new module.

I think it might be due to the 33% increase in resistance over the previous generation pads which is creating more stress on the component causing it to fail.

i usually crap on buying used controllers but beggars can't be choosers.

Sort of want one for my pc but still seems alot for a controller and amazon reviews arnt very positive. Im going to have to think about it. probably be out of stock by the time i have made my mind up lol

Get some nail polish remover and wipe the buttons with some cotton wool, the get a mcdonalds straw or similar, cut a little slit so that the straw fits around the buttons and twist. Sorted my stick button right out.

I always strip and clean used pads and often on the elite fit a new front and rear shell along with grips so that it's not grotty.
The thumbsticks tell a lot on these because the module that the base slides into is plastic. The thumbstick base is metal so over time it scratches the thumbstick module down, reducing it's diameter resulting in loose fitting sticks. If you turn your Elite pad upside down and the thumbstick bases clunk down you know it's a well used controller.

Bought one at launch and by far the best controller I've ever used. I spent a lot on my PC so you can bet you boots i want the best controller to match.

Unless you would actually use the paddles, trigger stops and profile switch on the fly I would get the One S controller because the bumpers are way better and you've got 33% more resistance on the thumbsticks which give it an almost identical feel to the 360 pads. Much more precision..

Using the new windows wireless dongle?

dazbowski1 h, 42 m ago

tempted as one of the buttons is starting to stick on mine.

Which button?
Abxy/menu buttons could be due to a foreign object wedged in there and need stripping and cleaning.

LB/RB probably needs a new bumper altogether, possible damage to bar connecting them.

RT/LT could be physical damage to frame or to the rubber that holds the magnet in making it rub against the rear shell internals.

Thanks just ordered!
Could never justify the £120 price

same went for it, im expecting to be let down somehow.

Can you remap the paddles to keyboard buttons?

Anyone know if this would work with the Xbox 360 wireless dongle on PC?

How old is your console? Microsoft don't ask for the date of purchase of the controller, but the console when they process the purchase to then generate a return code for the retailer.

I had the left thumb stick go loose , mine go changed through Argos, but they offered me their 3 year warrant for £30 on the replacement so I took that as well as Argos just to a straight swap then without talking to Microsoft..

Cracking controller for this price. Not much more than some of those special edition ones - assuming this is just new and damaged box
