I take it this game isn't all that considering how quickly it's dropping

Price is not always a result of the quality of a game, but mostly related to sales. There are plenty of very good games that had significant price cuts soon after launch (e.g. Deus Ex, Dishonored 2, ...).

Halo Wars 2 is actually very good, but it's genre on console is considered to be a niche and thus it probably didn't sell that well.

Closer to my £10 biting point!
Feels like such a rapid price plummet lately.

I enjoyed the beta in June last year, didn't enjoy the blitz beta though. Hoping for the Digital version to be this price as don't have my xbox anymore, Just the PC. Heat added though, Buzz.

It was the same with Gears of War 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, and others - all great but seems to be if it's a Microsoft exclusive, wait up to 4 months and it's near a quarter of the original selling price. That's not a long wait for most!
This has plummeted! Any idea what the best price is for digital? I'd like to use play anywhere.

I wouldn't hold your breath honestly, I've found Xbox digital prices to be mostly unreasonable - the majority of my XB1 games are disc versions because of this.

Should be cdkeys. A few deals posted on here for the normal and ultimate edition.
Does this have dlc code for the first halo wars Buzz
Would I have needed to play the first one to get the most out of this? Also, where does this fit in with the other Halo games (timeline wise). Thanks

No the 1st halo wars comes with the ultimate edition only.
Great game as I am a big fan of RTS games. I enjoyed the single player campaign.
I always bite too soon got the £14.86 deal from Shopto earlier.....
Want the play anywhere version
Just waiting for the play anywhere digital version to come down in price
How embarrassing for Microsoft, one of their own flagship family games in freefall.
I think all versions are play anywhere according to the msft site

Only digital versions of the games afaik
Excellent game. I really like Blitz mode.
good deal this is a must have at this price

I would really rather have this on PC for keyboard/mouse controls but at this price it's tempting to just go for it on Xbox. I just wish it was out on Steam already and that play anywhere titles gave you a Steam key. Not sure why they didn't put it on Steam with the first one.

You have to buy it digitally (i.e. on your Xbox/Microsoft account) to be able to play anywhere (i.e. download it from Xbox Live or Windows Store). There's no way to play a retail copy from disc on your PC.

You could, of course, run it on your Xbox One and stream it to your PC via the Xbox app, which is handy if your TV is being used but it does require you to have your Xbox and PC on at the same time and on the same network, and you wouldn't be able to use your keyboard and mouse to control it as the Xbox One version is controller only.

It's had average reviews. The problem is it's an RTS (real time strategy) set in the Halo universe and there aren't that many people who are into both, given that Halo is an FPS. So its target audience is Halo fans who are also into RTS or RTS fans who are also into Halo, but then there's also the issue that it's an RTS made for games consoles, which is never the best experience. I think most people who were psyched for it bought it upon release and now sales have trailed off so they're cutting the price to shift more copies.

thank you for your reply
Now £19.85?
Why oh why didn't Microsoft focus their RTS efforts on a brand new rendition of Age of Empires...
Give it a few more months and Game will have this at £9.99
