might be better.

I reckon xbox one controller consumes more power. I've gone through 3 sets of duracells since launch

thanks, Ordered.

i was waiting for it to drop around the £10 mark! heat added

I brought these off argos when I got my one on launch day, poor products, the battery's do not last long before you need to charge between 4-6 hours, the USB port they use on the back of the battery to charge breaks easily, sent originals back after the USB port on both broke after 10 days, they sent me replacements they lasted until the weekend before christmas before they broke, so 4 battery's broke in 4 weeks, given up and just gone with the official play and charge battery's, may have cost 4 times as much but they will last allot longer, there are other battery's out there but do not waste your time or money with these poorly built battery's.

have these the dont last that long. still voted hot for being cheap

Thanks - ordered

Yup agree with that, the controller seems to think its a digital camera. Another ploy to get you to purchase the play and charge kit (or a set of rechargeable batteries and fast charger like I've done).

Seconded. Pack of Eneloops and a charger is the way to go. The Orb battery packs are rated at 600 mAh which is pathetic.

WARNING: I bought this at launch and one of the batteries already doesn't work anymore.

I have not used the second one yet but the reviews on Amazon suggest I'm not the only one who had this problem.

I've found it to be pretty good on batteries, seem to get about 25-30hrs out of rechargeable AA's which I think is reasonable enough. Definitely worth getting rechargeable batteries though, thankfully with 2 small kids in the house rechargeable AA's are plentiful

For those of you that need 2x batteries have a look at the Microsoft store as Quidco are offering £10 off a £30 or more spend.

I just ordered 2x official play and charge kits for £29.98 delivered. Use code boxingday10 (The code expires in 2 days according to the Quidco site)

Hope it helps someone!

Buy a pack of 4x panasonic 2100mah rechargeables, the ones that still have 85% left in after a year for £5 delivered. Sorted.

Saw these for £8 in sainsburys

Get a charger and 2500mah or 2950mah AA batteries from 7 day shop for about £16 delivered!!!!! Best for thing for controllers, all the recharge kits I have tried last a third of the time and die in a year... The venom set I got had 650mah capacity.... Really come on a charge only lasted a couple of sessions!
