But your Camel shows it as the first price drop since October when it was £16.14.

You've confused me now (_;)

*facepalm*

Would this work on the 'one s' controllers? I bought a play and charge from Argos which was another brand and it didn't fit!

This is a really good price. I've never seen it this low for the official one. Heat from me.

I'd go for this personally:
amazon.co.uk/gp/…ary

2 x 4000mah!
Pros: no cable ever needed, switch the spent ones with the recharged ones, much longer gaming time between charges.
Cons: need to pop the back off each time they're spent.

How? Looks like £11.99 is the cheapest. Have these been cheaper?

I checked the FAQs on Amazon and a number of them asked this, all replied that it did work with the S controller.

Try using the "remove extreme values" option, it's really useful sometimes (this being one of those times).

The link is showing today's price to be the cheapest ever recorded for the play and charge on Amazon, therefore it is not "standard price" as brendanhickey put it.

It was £16.14 from Oct 17 until today.

This is what I do for my Xbox controller. More because I already had a charger (albeit not that one) and 4x Energizer 2300mah AA batteries than anything else, to be honest.

It works well and the batteries last ages between charges. The charger is pretty quick too, 0-100% in about an hour. As you say, you do have to pop the back cover off to swap the batteries, but it's no great chore.

Price has been jumping like crazy for this, it was £11.99 this morning, changed to £12.39 at 11.09 tonight! How many hours would you get from a charge or if it's easier to work out how often do you find yourself changing batteries?

Probably a few days of fairly great heavy play (5-6 hours)?
Anyone else that keeps an eye on time help out?
It's a rare occurrence replacing the batteries compared to some of the battery packs I've used over the years which last one sitting only!

I know this is a battery thread but just wondered if anyone has seen the new xbox one media remote, saw it on a website with an end of January release date, since then vanished and cant find any info on it. It looked a little like the old 360 one with number buttons which i want????

Why doesn't Microsoft give us rechargeable controllers as standard? I do like the fact my elite controller lasts ages on a pair of decent aa's but is there a reason they haven't just popped a lithium in there?

That's exactly what I did. Same product too.
Heat added none the less as it is a good deal for this product.

I went for this setup: amazon.co.uk/gp/…NM/

Bit more expensive, but once you're finished playing, just drop the controller back in the cradle and it's ready for next time. You can't play if the power pack runs out, but you'd have to be doing a serious stretch of gaming to flatten it completely.
