Picked up one of these in-store today in New Barnet, had at least 3 or 4 in the cabinet behind customer service desk.

Also available on-line (URL posted). Think it's a good price for the official one, although I know there are possibly cheaper alternatives by Gioteck.

Great piece of kit if you go through batteries like my kids do. Saving of around £7 on normal price.

Good price but rechargeable batteries better value and last longer per charge

£11.89 with student prime!

Aye the point of the play and charge is that you're not fannying about with batteries, rechargeable or otherwise.

Hot

Good price, heat added.
Thanks

nice find op and great price!! thanks

I bought two packs a few weeks back but 4 batteries and a charger cost a third of this so they went back.

Yeah I was always forgetting to charge batteries when I needed them most. Play and charge just works coz I can plug a cable in when I'm out of juice instead of stressing about which batteries are charged and where I put them

Cheers for being pedantic...
Now it's my turn, I stated BATTERIES in my comment.

Yeah, I never understand buying battery packs. I have some and they don't last as long as a pair of eneloops.

Charge and play and a battery pack for win

Hot for the price, however;

I always used the 360 play and charge kit and kept extra packs in the quick-charge tower.

The build quality on these is nowhere near as good / useful - they are not designed to be used plugged in whilst charging - even though you can - my usually sensible 9 year-old has wrecked the micro-usb port on one of the pads by stressing the cable - the play 360 ones had a much sturdier connection...

SO, I have 2 pads with these and 2 with eneloops - the eneloop ones haven't needed charging yet (since christmas day)

I have a decent but cheap Xtar charger and a bunch of quality rechargeables that I use. Even the cheap Tronic 2300mah from Lidls that pop up often are good, my charger confirms it every time they hit their capacity. I would just prefer a bunch of those for all my controllers.

Unless you buy your shopping from there but even then think you have to pay for delivery? I'm going intimate my local this afternoon. I will update....

Just got back . Snagged 1. Should have bought 2 really for 2nd pad at that price. Denton Manchester had 4 or 5 apparently in the back ..heat;) not sure how too add pictures????

just like the 360 ones, the great thing about these are that the battery pack running out doesn't mean you have to stop playing

plus the battery chargers that are good for the rechargable batteries aren't quick at recharging and that fast recharging chargers seem to be bad for batteries

these play and charge kits have a safe place in the market

hot if you can get them from the store maybe not so if you have to have them delivered

Sorry guys, when posting I never thought to check the postage price...you just assume most places don't charge these days but agree that £7 odd delivery is a joke! Still people don't seem to be struggling to get hold of them in-store, so no reported goose chases yet (I don't think). Loving mine btw, so easy not having to change batteries all the time
