My cheap orb ones broke pretty quick so I'm going to give the official one a go now it's a more reasonable price.

Bought one of these using double clubcard points, was disgusted when it arrived to see it's only 1400mah, when stay charge nimh batteries are 50% higher capacity for a fraction of the cost I'm going to be using them for my other controller.

Bought one better than keep buying duracells should've bought one at launch really, probably spent £30 on battery's heat always been around £17.50

Got one on release, lasts a long time. Great having the extra long cable too as I use it to charge phone also, heat added. Thanks op

bought one thanks for link

Thanks for posting this, my cheap Orb ones also just broke, they only charge when the cable is in a certain position.
£14.99 is a good price. Thanks. Heat.

Bought one thanks op

are these ones better than the venom kits? was looking at the Argos venom charging cradle and NiMH battery set for 15quid, but then weighing up if its necessary as I've got 8 rechargeableb as batteries I normally use :-/

I bought the Venom double battery play and charge two weeks ago from Tesco Direct for £8. So far the battery I have tried is ok but only time will tell. £8 for two batteries isn't two bad. :-)

orb, venom don't last, the official will last and is the only way I'd ever go...

Word on the street is there is a new type of battery available, that you can recharge! All the big brands are getting in on it

Just buy a couple of rechargeable batteries. Every one of these I've owned since the 360 hasn't lasted a year.

Crazy that this is even needed, it would have cost hardly anything to put a rechargeable battery in, but then they couldn't charge you £15 for what is essentially 2 rechargeable AAs in a case!

Haha same! I have two but I only use one cable so the other one is used as a spare phone charging cable! It's really useful as it's so long!

The PS4 controller has stuck around £40-45 though! The XB1 controller is regularly £30

I bought two official ones for my 360 back in the day.....they didn't last! :-(

this is the one I bought

games power dual charge

bought it on 8th April 2014 and still going fine now

just an idea for peeps to consider, it has been as low £13.80 ish but is currently at £15 on Amazon

I've just read description and it says 700mah which seems low, but I never run out of charge and the controller is used for probably anywhere between 3-5 hours a day, so should be ok for most.
