£70 cheaper than GAME. £40 cheaper than Amazon. £75 cheaper than Grainger.

I went into their shop today and they had pre-owned Xbox One consoles at £299.99 with a full year warranty.

The salesman also said I would get £5 off games over £9.99 I bought for it within 7 days of getting the machine. Not too bad!

I think Games Centre are just a Scottish company around Kilmarnock and places like that. That's their website - gamescentre.co.uk/

INSTORE - Kilmarnock

As said a couple of times above. It seemed to be in store only.

Tempted to get an Xbone and have a Game Centre close to me, might pop in and see what they have.

Got my PS4 from there also, they are prety good for offers.

Heat if you're Scottish! I've given heat :-)

I think I'd be right in saying the xbox one is doing so bad it's already had a £100 price cut.
Xbox one with Titanfall and a free game (dead rising 3, Ryse, forza) £399.99 at zavvi.
Pre-owned Xbox one at gamecenter is now £299.99.
Microsoft has reduced the price by hiding it under a "bundle deal" so not to have to be like the 3DS and admit to a huge price cut only months after the release.

PS4 WINS

FATALITY!!

It's pretty clear Microsoft have absolutely no faith in their product whatsoever lol

hilarious price crash, finally dropping to what it's worth

I think you've been properly bummed out, xbox or no

I own both and I prefer my XB1 over the PS4 and I'm a Sony fanboy. PS4 feels like a half finished rush released console which suffers from horrible framerate issues in some games to try please nerds with their 1080p. It also has no decent exlusives coming out this side of 2014 bar infamous. PSFail.

£199.99 is still too much.

I honestly do want an Xbox One, and Titanfall does interest me, as I enjoy the pick up and play COD like style gameplay, but if i buy one now, whats the price going to be next week or next month?, I know price changes every week on all products, but these ain't deals or offers, there has been an official price cut already by MS 3 months after launch, if it doesn't pick up enough sales will they bring another price cut?

I'll wait, but if GAME do a pre-owned Xbox One for £250, i'll buy it straight away, as i trust GAME's 12 month Warranty, and never had a problem with replacement service.

Personally waiting until you lot finish beta testing the dashboard updates and decent games to come out.. Had xbox original and 360 on launch day. But as I now have a baby don't get time to faff on waiting for 40gb downloads and ****

Honestly first time I've heard about framerate issues with either console. Which games particularly suffer with framerate issues?

I bought one full whack at launch, and I am a little gutted, but I have been enjoying 64 player battlefield action for months now, so not too fussed.
Played my ps4 for about 20 hours all in, and its balls tbh, even with ps+

The 40gb download takes place while the wife is watching coronation street, then a swift drop kick off the couch and your ready to go :P

Oh dear, these PS4 fanboy's are really starting to annoy me, if you don't want an Xbox, get off the thread. You all seem to miss the fact that a) the Xbox has more hardware included within the console package. b) both companies have used different launch strategies, Sony are starving the market to increase demand, Microsoft, have priced higher to allow for price drops. At the end of the day they are both companies who want to make money, and regardless of your Sony wet dreams, both will make money. Please go back to playing Killzone as that's the only game you have! (PS, I'm getting both. Just wanted to chip in)

kool story bro, tell it again

anyway, both nex gen consoles suck, neither have good games, Call of duty Ghosts sucks no matter what console you play it on, Battlefield Beta 4 has issues no matter what console you play it on, last gen/current gen consoles are better in every way right now.

Theres a shop in hamilton

not better graphics

This means your probably starting to look at about £200 trade in, that is a big loss for anyone who originaly paid £429, by the end of the year I can honestly see a new Xbox one only being £249, and I think Sony will still be selling there consoles @£349 although would probably inculde a game....

If your picture had worked that would've been funny. But yeah, it's a standard marketing ploy that Sony are using, Supply and Demand, if the Supply goes down, the Demand goes up. It creates more interest in the product by making it harder to get. (Apple did the same with the original Iphone)

Microsoft are now lowering their price point (this would've been a pre planned strategy) to increase public awareness after the initial excitement and rush was over.

Either way, people may be being a little negative about the price drop, but it's getting news, press and web coverage - there is no such thing as bad publicity!!!!

I highly doubt Sony are purposely limiting supply, the supply problem is totaly down to demand as more people want ps4 than Xbox one, the last thing Sony want is to limited supply as people may give up and buy a xbox which is easier to find stock and that is not good for Sony, who do you think it is that decides I want a ps4 because it is so hard to find stock, if you can sell 20 million consoles at £349 why would you limit supply so you only sell 10million, we're would the bussiness sense be in that??
Microsoft is not reducing the price of these consoles out off the goodness of there heart, there being reduced as there not selling, do you think if they were still flying off the shelves they would be getting reduced.
Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay or it, it is no good me saying my car is worth £5000 if nobody is willing to buy it at that price.....

Controlling supply only actually works assuming you have a hot product people really, really want. Otherwise you try and keep up with the demand PS4 has had without inevitable, non planned shortages. Sony just can't make them fast enough, I'm sorry. But you can still buy tin foil for hats so that's ok.

Microsoft are lowering their prices because they are getting caned in early sales in key markets. I'm sure they planned to over price it, not sell very well in their home territory and the U.K versus their competition so they could purposely cut it massively later.

Sure they did. I'm sure they did that with the original Xbox when it was getting destroyed and cut the price by £100 the month after it launched.

It's all going to plan....http://cdn.gifbay.com/2013/06/nothing_to_see_here-60260.gif

Yes, there is such a thing as bad publicity when it comes to games consoles. Which is probably why PS3 struggled early on.

Of course we could just assume the 6 months of utter battering Xbox One had in the press and internet since it was revealed up til launch wasn't at all bad publicity or detrimental to sales.

Ouch for the person who sold it. Probably got £250 for it. Shortly after paying £430 in all likelihood.

They won't sell for £249 with Kinnect. If sales are still lagging by summer/autumn Kinect will probably be ditched, a cheap mic added for voice commands, and only then will it be £249. That's what many argued it should have been all along.

Kinnect hasn't added much to games. The revelation that security agencies have been considering hacking into it to view people wont go down well in the states at all where people are far more concerned with privacy. Most people in the UK will shrug it off but the US is different culturally on govt v individual rights, and it's MS biggest market. And unlike a laptop or phone the Kinnect camera is generally always in a prominent place in a bedroom/living room with a wide vantage point. MS's initial insistence that it had to be on 24/7 (now retracted) for the xbox to work lingers on in giving a bad impression.

Framerates? That contradicts pretty much every comparison done by credible websites across the board. The only exception is Thief.

You saying the only decent game is infamous is rather silly? Driveclub, and Order 1886 are just 2 big exclusives off the top of my head. Yet you can't state anything is 'decent' - infamous or anything else, until they are released and reviewed. But there are big budget exclusives in coming months.
