I got mine for £67 in the VERY deal you are talking about...................... the Digital one though.
I knew it would fall in price but not below £100 before Chrimbo!

I think this is the one with the blu ray player which is the single point of failure in these things and is tied to the firmware i believe so when the blue ray player fails you cannot swap in a new one.

I was skeptical about the digital version myself but i have now been convinced its the way to go as long as the games come down in price and are cheaper than the disc version otherwise msfot are making a big mistake if they think they can convince the majority of the disc diehards!

Wait till new year these things will be cheap as chips!
£99
Wait and see!

Mine just arrived today been having great fun lol
Last time I had a console it was my Atari 2600 lol

Do you think these will get as low as £150 and the one x £250? I might bite if so

They did almost go that low last week.
I would say in Jan they might be that price, or towards the end of next year now.

Glad you are enjoying the console.

On the Blu Ray drives, you can actually swap them out, needs a bit of thinking as you need to make sure you swap out the motherboard on the drive for the new one, so if say the motor on the drive breaks, but a new drive and use the old motherboard controller and switch it.
If the controller board dies then you might be facing a real issue.

Yeah its a real pain, not easy.

I bet the black Friday deals for these in 2020 might be great, as that will be the month they launch the new Xbox.

Nah new year they will start getting rid of stock early if you can get the digi version now for as low as £67 i reckon the blue ray version will be £99 in the new year sales!

The digi version should have been £99 when it was released msfot shot themselves in the foot with the pricing point!

Yip ordered it Friday got it this morning Royal Fail yes indeedy!

Can I ask a coupla questions - the joystick has a 3.5mm for headphones but my headphones have two 3.5mm one for mic and other for speakers does this mean that you need a special headset for the joystick?

And ive plugged in one of my youview talktalk boxes into the back of the xbox - what does this actually allow you to do and is it a passive passthru to the telly or does the xbox need to be switched on at the mains to pass the signal to the telly = stupid question i am presuming it does!

Got my keyboard in the usb and seems to be working well even with a 5 metre usb cable but how about the jostick how does it cope with extra long length usb cables to save on battery as I imagine i might be thrashing this for the next few weeks or months lol

Nice, glad it arrived quickly.

I can't fully remember the headphone setup situation when using 3.5MM jacks on them.
I just called it quit's and bought their cheap headset to make it easier for online games.

amazon.co.uk/Off…=8-

For the Youview box, yeah I think the Xbox needs to be on to work as a pass though, I keep mine seperate and don't run anything through the xbox, the Watts are low on the One S, but I still keep it turned off when not playing games.
Better deal than than the digital only versions ⁿ

2600 had 128 bytes of ram and the early games were sub 4kb
Edited by: "Mikiex" 3rd Dec 2019
Good price given the fact that Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale over. Last chance to buy a Christmas present at good price, will be out of stock soon. Currys, Smyths and Argos already pushed the prices back up to £249.99
This is not bad considering the price. Digital only has one controller

Cool, I probably grew up playing your games and that's why I ended up becoming a game developer too You should get back into it. I have a friend who writes Dragon games now

Lol yeah it was the biggest mistake i ever made 3rd gen and above was never a challenge like machine code and assembler was i moved onto to systems programming the firmware for washing machines lol
Then cobol85, Dbaseiv even did some JCL and Lotus123 boring rubbish and then left programming to become a hacker and cracker now them wur good times now its all downhill with Cisco networking and security - IT is boring now wish I had become a car mechanic or plumber or electrician actually - more money in it anyway lol
