Also worth noting, the unidays 10% off works on this. So the 500gb is £225 and the 1TB is £270
Release date is end of December? Is a pre-order worth bothering with..?! Looks pretty cool though.
1TB console - £299.99

That's a placeholder date. It's out end of August.
Surprised it isn't £300.

The release date should be August. Hanging on for the 2th version.

Will keep my launch console its in good nic and works well and will buy the Scorpio next year, and get the PS4K this year.

Is that confirmed working? Because in my experience there is very little new or pre order wise that Unidays works for...
Actually very good price for 4K movie fans. I believe this plays 4K blu-ray movies. At £250 I think that makes it the cheapest 4K Blu-ray player.

Scorpio

Scorpio is another year off?? (end 2017)

Scorpio is another year off?? (end 2017)

Yeah, 18 months or so.
Hmm interesting development. The blurb seems to imply it has a newer bluray drive as it mentions watching uhd films on bluray, which I don't think you can get on the regular sized bluray discs?

If so then £250 is a pretty good price indeed for a complete 4K movie player and console combined....

I've added it to the cart, both versions and applied my code and it's discounted it

It's what we do, advise to wait for the next iteration. Even four hours after announcements and 18 months before a launch. It'll be the same until the back end of 2017.

You have to get an adapter. If you have the current Xbox One and Kinect, you can apply to get the adapter free by entering the serial numbers of Xbox One, Kinect and Xbox One S on a website.

This is what I'm trying to confirm...
The place holder on the MS store website DOES say it'll play 4k UHD discs, so appears to confirm it will be the cheapest 4k BR player in the UK...

I think MS have just pulled a ps3 move...

I've got 2 XB1's, but I'm soooo tempted to order the 2tb model!
EUR 299.00 on Amazon.de, which is currently around £237

Built in PSU.
No dedicated Kinect connection, so that may be the end of that tech (will be a usb connector for it though)
HDR
4K player and streaming capability.
HDMI v2.0
Otherwise its the same spec, so no different for most gaming.

You can't wait it out? What exactly do you want the S for??

For a UHD blu ray player, and 18 months of having a better quality system
Don't flame me, but I will be curious to see if Game do a trade in deal. I have 2 XB1's, but I want UHD playback. If they didn't take the proverbial, I would definitely be interested in a console plus cash deal to upgrade.

It might be way into 2018 for minions like me and Scorpio is something to look forward to in the meantime ;--)) I hope that is ok with you?

To be fair, the target audience is those looking to purchase an Xbox One who don't currently have one yet don't wish to wait 18 months for a purchase.

I'd say this suits them perfectly, wouldn't you?

I can't help but think prices of the current one will plummet when the S launches. I'd upgrade for £100 at most...
