Just for the people who was struggling to get one, still a good price
When is Microsoft UK gona price match these. Perhaps after brexit?
Surely some EU anti something or other law forbidding zonal pricing they way Microsoft is doing

The xbox all digital version sales are abysmal, retailers need to get rid of the stock for stuff that actually sells at a decent profit.

PS4 is class, xbox as you said is cheap.

Because this is the Discless model and it is MS policy that it will always be 50 cheaper rrp than the standard Disc model.

So nobody is going to mention the better exclusive games then?

These don’t take cd’s or play blue rays / dvds etc. Entry level Xbox but still worth it for an occasional game

Because Sony sold over 110mln units and don't need to try at all, where MS barely flogged around 40mln and they need get rid of all stock before next year Scarlet release

Now search for the PS4 deals and compare them with the standard Xbox one S disc version deals, they are both the same price's.

£165 Amazon de (now expired)

When you say £149 I take it your talking about the very deal for first time customers using a code, this deal is now also for the PS4 at the same price using the same method and includes Spiderman.
hotukdeals.com/dea…544

The whole point is people were comparing the Discless Xbox version as though they were desperate to get rid of it but they are not, they are doing exactly as they planned which is the Discless model is always to be 50 cheaper rrp than the standard Disc model, it's no skin off MS nose they didn't pay hundreds of millions to redesign the Discless model they simply removed the drive .
And there has been No official price cuts these are just Black Friday weeks prices anyway.

Hows that?
Xcloud still in beta, has loads of lag and is dependent on how fast your wifi is. Anyone playing multiplayer will be at a disadvantage.

Xcloud wont be for everyone at the moment, would imagine in 12 to 24 month they will have sorted these issues or at least improved them, but for now I will be avoiding until they sort it.

Damn. What's wrong with Microsoft UK store, the discount is circulating around the Europe but not the UK ??

Why are you looking at xbox deals then if it's so cheap? I have both and the PS4 is not class in my opinion.

So we no longer own hard copies of anything. If games are now easily downloadable it should mean cheaper games simply because logistics of manufacturing, shipping/retailing the games will disappear. As prices have not dropped considerably, I will say these greedy companies will keep ripping us off with devices such as all digital and things like online music...which we normally cannot pass onto others once we’ve done with it. It’s all about money saving for big business and nothing else for us apart from the usual : it costs millions to develop a game and games consoles.

I own loads of hard copies myself. But we've had these discussions before with CD and mp3. To make game consoles competitively priced removing unnecessary hardware is a obvious solution. Even games I have the CD version requires a download the size of the game. So what's the actual point if the disk. Other than we can sell it on. Meaning less profits for manufacturers, so that's another reason for them to confine CD'S to the history books. When you look at plastic on landfills, removing all plastics is a small step forward. Hopefully they'll allow us to sell our digital code on when weve finished with a game. Not holding my breath though
