I'm sure the pill would be easier to swallow with a minimum of 3 months Game Pass (12 would be awesome). I can't understand for the life of me why it's not bundled as standard.

If anybody was to consider this wrongly priced RRP console, then they currently have 3 months for £1 on the store.
I love the negative response to this console! Brave move OP!
Removed 4K UHD blu ray player , kept same (ish) price...?

Naaaaah, I'll pass

I just don't get it. I've got the one s that has a 4k blu ray player etc etc, that I could use solely for digital gaming - I just don't see where they're trying to go with this one . Definatley overpriced too
This could have been great.... However it is not sorry op

No buy for me, no Carnival
Would understand this console if it were £120ish. No point in it being the same price as an S with a drive!

Don't get me wrong, the idea of the console fits my needs perfectly, and as I've said before, if the price had been right on a discless based X console, I'd have been all over it.

I've only ever had FO76 (albeit briefly) in my Xbox One X (I think), but this is way too much for the removal of the drive. At £129.99, they'd sell more and have more forced into buying their overpriced store content. Bad pricing move in my opinion.
I’ve a xbone x - it does everything. If I had a xbone s with a drive, is there ANY DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER in power or insides, that would make me want a disc less S over a normal xbone s? I’m really confused why Microsoft have done this???
You would think that if you're gonna release a purely digital console you'd make the internal hard drive bigger (or throw in an extra plug in drive) , i really cannot see this selling lots, especially as the current console has 4K UHD disc playback. Strange move Microsoft

Let's try and request a bundle with a digital copy of Carnival Games Xbox One pre-installed!
Does less, costs more.

Why? Why? WHY??!

Totally agree with you there. The price definitely needs to be reduced - significantly, and, if it is their intention to push-out all-digital gaming, then they really do need to sort out the pricing on the store. No way would I pay (let's take for example rdr2) £60 for a release-day game
Can't see any off these digital posts ever getting heat, unless there way below the Xbox one s 1tb £160 at black Friday
Microsoft must be wanting to destroy to the relative goodwill they have built up since the dark days of Don Mattrick. This has to be the most stupid product in gaming history when it is as expensive as the Xbox One with a disc drive!
Trying to sweeten the deal already I see
This will look like a bargain once the new consoles arrive
On MS Store
Xbox One S 1TB All-Digital Edition console | Xbox Wireless Controller | Minecraft | Sea of Thieves | Forza Horizon 3 for £199

The Sea of Thieves S is £249 (so add more for the other games)

And the X is £449

MS have stated that these price differences are the same for RRP, and will be maintained during any sales (so if x or s drop, the digital s will too by the same amount)

So I don't get the whole 'why have MS priced it the same as the regular S' comments. Saving more than £50 if you don't want the drive isn't 'the same'

If retailers are pricing it up, for whatever reason, it'll soon go to RRP
So will digital games have a lower RRP to take into account the fact that they're not being bought from a physical location (be it shop, warehouse or other) which has overheads? Digital doesn't even give you the opportunity to sell your games on so I'm at a loss as to who is going to think this is a good idea?

Remember when MS tried to introduce a system for allowing you to share/loan your digital library with family and friends and trade-in or resell downloads, but a number of users forced them to abandon the plans?
