Seems to be a blinding price for the console with 3 digital games. i'm guessing others may follow suit so a good indication of what is to come on the day.

Please note this is likely to be limited stock, and there's no indication on stock levels and it's best to check with your local store on the day before travelling

"I'm just popping out to LIDL to get a loaf of bread and some milk (*whispers* and an Xbox One), won't be long dear..."
I sold one of these on Facebook marketplace. It's AMAZING how many people thought it had a disc drive, despite me having it clearly stated in the description.

I imagine the amount of people that buy these at Christmas not knowing the difference is going to be huge
Good price deffo brought if had disk drive 😁
This will undoubtedly be one of the hottest deals of the day... already two other duplicate posts deleted that were generating quite a bit of heat. Shame it's the All Digital version but this is a cracking price nonetheless, especially with the three games bundled in. Have a lidl bit of heat from me

If you own disc versions of games, is there a way of transferring them onto this or do you have to buy the digital version?
Hopefully amazon compete and offer similar this is the price the current gen should be at the end of there cycle. Good price. Thanks.

You have to buy the digital version I believe.

Sadly not. But they have regular sales on.
Do we know what else they will have on offer?
Great deal if you can get one (and hopefully each store has at least a few...)

Yeah you say abracadabra i wasted money on these discs and discless model 3 times quietly into the mic port. A genie pops out and say's " You bought the wrong xbox muddafudder!! "
Chances are other retailers might price match. Argos and currys usually try and spoil the party
Good price see what the 4k drive version comes down to first

This is what I'm hoping for, let's drive that price down!

Last Real Black Friday for these consoles before the new ones come in Next Year.
End of Life Sales.

Good price though if you don't have one.
So..help me understand..
This edition `Digital` has no disck drive and all the games are purchased online ( no cd )
Well...so what`s the catch? I think is brilliant!
Never seen anything gaming related in our local Lidl

This edition only has a hard drive, you can’t buy discs & play games. But you can buy games digitally, & also subscribe to game pass for a monthly fee & download & play from a huge catalog of over 100+ games.

Also EA Access (£17.99 a year) has a huge selection of ea only games in its own subscription service
Daft question time.....
Is there a way to plug in a usb dvd drive?
I know with the other Xboxes you can install a disc game onto the HDD... So just wondering...

The catch is digital games are more expensive and in the long run you'd be better off paying the premium for the disc version - even if you're not someone who likes to trade old titles in.

If you consider last year MS were super desperate and peddling the disc version with a game or two for £149, the £20 premium is well-worth it, if that price is repeated again this year.

I believe the Xbox One doesn't support external blu-ray drives over USB.

"The Xbox One also doesn't support external disc-drives over USB, making it impossible to regain disc compatibility after purchase."

One of the selling points of the older One S is that it has a 4K bluray drive and barely costs more than a 4K bluray player.
Great deal
This will be gone before the door opens...

Don't forget the doughnuts in the bakery. They're real good. Better than Xbox. I hope the bakery goes on sale on Black Friday.
Be warned. Last years black Friday deals at lidl were very limited. My local store got 4 TVs last year. Hopefully it's different this year but its unlikely
Don't forget Xbox 2 out next year. Microsoft are going to be trying to flog as many xbox one as possible this Christmas as it will soon be an old console.

Not quite.

Xbox One S Digital will extremely likely become the defacto budget console and stay that way for a significant time. The One S with drive will retire entirely, alongside the One X to avoid cannibalisation of the new Scarlett console.

All of that said, it's £129 and the new console doesn't release until December 2020... If you hold off purchasing the budget One S digital because of Scarlett, I'd argue you're looking at entirely different console capabilities anyway with price points that will show this. Scarlett will not be a replacement for the One S Digital.

Right..so if I want to play with discs I need normal Xbox..which would be better for low price costs of the games and it has the 4k thing. Right?
Dillz_20/11/2019 11:52

Gotta try that!

You haven't already? Good grief 😳
