PlayStation 4 version is £7.99.

A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, Division agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society. When society falls, your mission begins.

Key features:

Total breakdown

We live in a fragile and complex world, a web of interdependent systems we rely on every day. When one fails, others follow, creating a deadly domino effect that can cripple society in just days. In Tom Clancy’s The Division™, immerse yourself in a frighteningly chaotic and devastated New York City, where society is failing. As a Division agent, your mission is to restore order, team up with other agents and take back New York.

Clancy Redefined

Welcome to an online, open-world, Action RPG experience where exploration and player-progression are essential. Use your skills, weapons and wits in combat. Play in a persistent and dynamic environment that combines the Tom Clancy™ series’ core authenticity and tactical decisions, RPG action, trading and much more.

Seamless Massive Multiplayer

Seamlessly team up with friends and use your combined skills to fight the crisis, investigate the sources of the virus and engage all threats, even your own citizens. Improve your gear with player-to-player trading, and fight through a city where danger can come from anywhere and anyone at any moment.

Gear Up

As part of The Division, harness state-of-the-art technology: both networked and prototyped. Loot fallen foes and craft new, improved gear. Completely customize your go-bag, an agent’s only supplies in the event of collapse, and communicate with the other agents at all times with your smart watch. Customize your agent with thousands of weapon types, skill combinations, gear and much more. The choices you make will help forge a recovery or plunge the city deeper into chaos.

You'll discover that the main gameplay area is a constantly online shared map. You inhabit it with other players even if you 'play' it solo. Plenty of opportunity to get matchmade, make new friends and squad up with other players.

The Dark Zone is an adjoining (and optional) map area where you can go solo (not advised!), go co-op or go PVP. It's up to you.

Yes. There is plenty of content for someone who doesn't want to Multiplayer up. I played it through solo first, then again with my son (which was even more fun).

At this price it's an absolute bargain.
Cheers guys, always fancied it,but the always online made me think more destiny than watchdogs2, and I generally hate multiplayer too many foolish idiots for me.
I picked this up at a similar price and loved it. Wasn't expecting much either considering the hate it got at launch. Looks great on PS4 Pro.

Depends if you like MMO type games, if you look at gameplay footage enemies can take a plethora of bullets before going down.

If playing on your own you probably won't get much out of it.

So in summary.....it's either good or bad as a single player game depending on who you ask!
Great value at this price. I started playing this primarily solo and really enjoyed it. Then tried it in coop and flew through a load of levels. Solo can be a tough but enjoyable challenge - if it gets too hard you can open your mission up to coop matchmaking and hopefully someone else will join your session to help you. Even playing with random people online, so long as you are outside of the Dark Zone, everyone works together on completing the missions - you all get rewards, you all get loot, and more people in a group just makes it easier to blast through.

The Dark Zone is the true multiplayer section, where you get player vs player combat, and as a solo player is a brutal environment. This area really needs a group to stand a chance, but is treated separately by the game - the story and campaign does not require you to go there.

You can play it for 6 hours or up to level 8 as a trial, with your progress carrying over to the full game if you decide to buy it.
