Just to clear up any confusion ...

The Xbox One Controller we have for sale is the original Xbox One controller. It does not have the headphone jack (as confirmed earlier in this post by PetrolHeadRR). There were two errors on our listing - the image and the release date. We have now updated both of those and apologise profusely for our mistake. This was a genuine error and in no way did we intend to mislead people (why would we want to deal with hundreds of returns and unhappy customers!).

Within the next hour we will be contacting all customers who have bought the controller today to ask if they would like to cancel but please feel free to get in contact beforehand if you do not want the original Xbox One Controller. Even if you have had a despatch email it can still be cancelled as we are now holding back all of these until we have heard from you.

Apologies for any confusion/inconvenience caused,
The Game Collection

Depends if the date on the Game Collection website is correct, assuming the stated 1st Nov 2016 is accurate, it won't be as the 3.5mm was introduced in 2015.

But you've put 'it won't be??' or should that say 'it will be'??

He asked about 2.5 not 3.5

Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr read what you've put again and it me being daft

Why would a console bundle include a cable for windows?

What's a cable for windows? micro usb cable?

A question: and the desirability of 2.5mm vs 3.5mm is?...

As an aside Topcashback offer cashback on Consoles (1%) and Games (2%), but not accessories?

Yeah, but I would recommend using this one if it;'s this cheap. I've found mine was seriously choosy with the cables I use. The official one's USB plug housing sits flucsh with the top of the controller so it had no room to wiggle, and that seems to make it much more reliable.

Do these have bluetooth?

If they are the Xbox One S revision controllers (post June 2016), presumably they should (anyone with experience?):

I was just trying to establish whether these were the new or old controllers. The newer controllers come with extended range, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm jack so you don't need an adapter for headphones, but there's no mention of any of these in the description. However photo is of the newer controller.

The picture they are using is the v3 with Bluetooth. Make of that what you will.

Not sure why, but I bought it, thanks

Very confusing listing(s).

If you Google the product sku from eBay listing (0885370893953) it comes up with the v2 controller, but both sites show the v3.

The one on eBay mentions windows cable included but the one on TGC doesn't, but mentions 'play n charge' in the description as if it comes with it??

Years are different too, eBay 2017, TGC Nov 2016 but this should mean v3 either way, I've taken a punt with the TGC site one and will send back if not happy.

Cheers OP!

Because most desktop PC's dont have Bluetooth.

I didn't pay for the delivery. Shipped via Royal Mail 1st Class
I suppose the title should be updated.

I've got one and my PC has bluetooth, still use a cable though.

Has 2 benefits:

Less delay (which really helps in Rocket League)
No batteries required

thanks,i saw these yesterday but as soon as i saw the "like new" quote i assumed they were second hand lol

I have still have PS3 controllers with good battery life. Plus you can use a cable or change the battery if you have the ability. Pretty poor argument really.

Hey guys, just to let you know, I found the quality control on TheGameCollection's Xb1 controllers are not adequate, I've ordered a few of them and they've all had faults, went for a PS4 controller from another store instead.

ReflexReact22 m ago

Why charge more

Why fit a non removable battery meaning you have to spend extra on a whole new controller 😁
