Morning

The Microsoft Store (Switzerland) currently has the Xbox One X console for CHF 509.00 which equates to £387.13, which is a bit of a bargain really in comparison to the £449.99 on the UK store.

Delivery is showing as no later than 30th November, so plenty of time for that Christmas gift.

More than likely there will be import tax making this MORE expensive than buying over here. Not worth it IMO. There is a small chance you wont get hit with it but its highly unlikely considering size.

Used to work for TNT and people sending things TO Switzerland definitely needed to provide a customs invoice, so I'd expect to get hit on the reverse...

First time anything has ever been cheaper in Switzerland! Good deal but import tax lottery.

Just checked gov.uk and apparently there is definitely import duty on goods coming from Switzerland. A real pity as this would have been a great price. I can't see Microsoft not making the customs declaration...

Better of with a standard and a fist full of games

Great price, although you do have to pay various import fees, so the final price will most likely end up similar to that of the UK price.

You might be LIABLE for fees like VAT, duty, handling fees etc but it's whether you get caught or not that's the question.

It's not so much what is on the docket but whether Mr HMRC pulls the parcel or not and this time if the year maybe you've got a fair chance of getting through...

When Brexit happens every purchase from EU will be like this one from Switzerland.

Awesome.

This is a gamble, and a deal posted without all the facts. Sorry, but cold from me.

Yet this thread buying from abroad got your attention...

There have been plenty of other HUD deals sourced from eurozone members too.

Got it - well it depends where Microsoft ships from doesn't it? Wouldn't think they ship from Switzerland, so wouldn't get the tax?

why is this unexpired?

We have family in Switzerland 🇨🇭 and they have an Xbox one bought online from Microsoft. We take games over there from UK and they play no problem at all. Regarding the power and voltage it is also no issue at all just the plug is different 😊

Given there’s some (not lots of) reports of these dying, I’d be averse to importing despite the cost benefit.

Unless they can be repaired from the UK?

Ask a silly question but would this come with uk power supply?

Because you let paypal do the currency conversion and not your card provider.

I’m so tempted
