That's an odd comment, I just want a games console for playing games, so I want my games on the very front screen, I don't understand why anyone would want anything else, but that is just my opinion

If this works then it is a nice price.
Console runs well and extremely quiet, my only issue is the UI is very cluttered and unclear compared to the PS4 interface I am used to.

Mine hardly ever makes a noise! Only demanding games, and then it only kicks the fans in for a few seconds. My mates ps4 pros fan never stops blowing! That would drive me mad . The home isn't too cluttered once you get used to it. After you get used to using just the home button and maneuvering about via that, that becomes very simple too, you can get to the store, your games and apps, your achievements, settings everything with just 3 or 4 movements of the analogue stick!

Xbox with IOS firmware would be the best haha
Never been a fan of these deals. Anything goes wrong with the order and you're stuck with £400 worth of Microsoft Store credit. Good deal for those willing to take the risk though.
I got one yesterday it’s miles better than my S smoother and dead quiet also very fast loading up games
I'm getting it for 546 euros

Sounds daft but that is sort of a step in the right direction, all I want is all my games on the front screen organised into my own folders and a shortcut to the store.
I don't need all the other clutter, that is why I prefer my PS4 layout, will still probably switch to buying 3rd party titles for the Xbox just due to the noise factor
Has anyone played any UHD Blu-rays on their xbox one x? Is it very loud? as wouldn't mind one of these

Anything goes wrong?!? Il tell you what happens if anything goes wrong...

On My last Xbox if I had any issues within 12 months warranty period with ANYTHING Microsoft just replaced the part no questions asked.

I got 2 consoles replaced due to excessive noise and 2 controllers.

They will even send you the new console first so your never without.
That’s the main reason I still use Xbox and not the ps4. Microsoft support is crazy good but then again my ps4 never broke in the first place.

One S can plays same games as the One X, and it can also play UHD Blu rays for 4k tv's the same as the Xbox One X
Xbox One X has a much faster system, so it can improve the graphics slightly. The main selling point is that it can play games at 4k on a 4k tv. This is something the One S cannot do. The X also loads games faster and is more 'future proof'. It may be that in the future the One S is phased out. Nobody is entirely sure how it will work though, as it's possible a new xbox could be released in the next few years that phases both out.

I've got an Xbox One S and a brand new LG OLED 4k tv which makes the One X very tempting. However, I am aware that it's basically playing the same games, and has the same overall design, plus my One S plays UHD 4k movies, so I'm enjoying that for now. I might pick the X up if it drop a bit in price autumn 2018

A lot more power, 4k gaming and it includes a UHD drive for UHD Blu Rays.
Edited by: "trevnod" 9th Jan
If buying the Xbox One X, also bear in mind that the hard drive will fill up very quickly. Although it's 1tb, games on the X will require a sizeable update and therefore will take up more space. So if you are buying, don't be surprised if after 5 big budget games you find you need to buy an external hard drive. I've just bought an extra 6TB hardrive to cope with all the games (many of which still need playing!!ahh the backlog!)

Also the Xbox one X runs Multi Format titles better than every other Console and this should improve even more as new titles are released.

That’s not true. There are a host of games that actually perform better on PS4 Pro than the X and vice versa. Just depends on how much the developer is willingly to put into optimising the game for said hardware or ho much experience they have dealing with it.
Haven't upgraded since the 360... I hate this next gen of consoles. You have to be online for everything and they've pretty much got rid of local co-op

Simply put, all games will run better on the Xbox one X unless the Dev messes it up and going forward the gap will widen even further as the Devs get to grips with the Xbox1X extra power.and optimisation.
There are Co-ops all over the place, but they just aren't the big budget games that much anymore..The next Halo should have co-op as the developers seem to have regretted leaving it out. Same thing happened for Forza Horizon 3, although maybe Forza 7 has co-op..

Best co-op games i've played on xbox one so far are Gear of War 4, Borderlands Handsome Edition, Diablo 3, Overcooked, Halo Masterchief Collection and Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time << what a title....!

If anyone has a Sonos Playbar, Playbase or another soundbar that doesn't natively support DTS, the Xbox One X has the transcoding feature of the original Xbox One that allows it to convert DTS to Dolby Digital. I believe this feature has been removed on the Xbox One S but I don't have one so I can't verify. This might push you towards the X for UHD bluray if you can't make up your mind.

Gifts card out of stock was going to bite and get it as well lol nevermind
Imagine how cheap this would've been if we didn't take r countree bak
Everytime I think. ‘I want one’ I remember selling my One S because it never got used due to lack of HDMI-CEC and clunky UI. I am impressed with the size of this console considering the specs but that’s all; can’t get over how boring it looks for a gaming machine. Think when I eventually get a 4K TV i’ll buy a dedicated UHD player or a PS5 (if it has a UHD drive) instead. Just need to stop buying things I don’t actually want just because I want to have one. (It makes sense)
