If you're expecting a reduced scorpio prepare for disappointment. Already see people advertising these for £700+.

I’ll be honest and say that my trust with pre orders on Amazon has gone, I ordered Destiny 2 limited edition months before release, they then sent me an email the day before release to say they didn’t receive enough stock! Good luck to those with pre orders

They're not selling for that though.
Highest I've seen one sell for was about £500 + £15 P&P on ebay.
After ebay fees that probably works out to a few quid, if anything.

Ooh that's nasty... HERE

Preordered within 5 minutes so should be fine. These often come in and out of stock at the moment due to others deals and/or people cancelling. Good luck!

I mean the link not something nasty -sighs- HERE will take you to the right link...

It's a shame they're not bundling a game with the scorpio/standard edition like they did with the Xbox one. Think that would ease the Sting of the price and attract more buyers

That didn't last long, hopefully went to someone who actually wants one rather than a reseller.

Keep seeing people put this on saying they’re back in stock but they never are

Agreed. Even if your order status says yes, Amazon might say no on delivery day.

It was but amazon seem to only stick a few on at a time, as mentioned it's probably when people cancel pre orders.

Well, I was able to pre-order.

Don't want one... so will cancel in an hour or so.

Looks like my old pre-order also dropped in price that's nice, still haven't decided if I want the console or not

I got a couple pre-ordered, if they both come off I'll be more than happy to knock a one'r off the second one and sell it for 600 quid then

Assuming that £15 is enough to cover the postage, they'd get £450 from it

Personally the lowest I've seen advertised on Gumtree etc is £650, no idea if they'll sell for that but nothing to stop people trying.
It won't be a scorpio but maybe £399 with a game will be my biting point.

I know someone who posts regularly on Gumtree, and then either meets up with the buyer in person at some "public place", or asks them to come to his.

I could never do that... Hence why I tend to use Ebay or Amazon for selling items. I'd rather pay the commission, and know that I'm "protected".

Keepa seems to show that one or two of these pop up per day, I suspect once someone cancels their preorder. I preordered the Scorpio when available, cancelled it, then preordered again around the time that the Currys bundle came out for the standard One X. To be honest I'm still on the fence - I have and Xbox One Elite, 1080p TV and a Geforce 970 powered PC, so I can't justify spending over £400 on what essentially will only add a 4K UHD Player to the mix (pointless on a 1080p telly). Why am I bothering to post this? Maybe because I am still looking for a reason to get this, dammit!

There's not much hype behind the XBox brand anymore though. I remember thinking that the Switch was just a fad, and that Nintendo fans didn't want to think past the honeymoon period, but it really does look as if the XBox is in for some rough waters ahead.

Still can't quite believe that MS have allowed Nintendo to gain such momentum, especially when they have a machine on the market that's roughly half the price - with considerably more games that are actually worth owning.

Sure... MS doesn't have Mario or Zelda. But at the Switch's price-point, and also factoring in shortages, I still can't quite understand why the appeal for MS's console just wouldn't be there.

They got your name and address when you sell on Ebay, as far as I know that's not the case on Gumtree so seeing you're clearly someone who is scared of 'stranger danger' I'm not quite sure how you're feeling protected?

Funnily enough I sold my old laptop to someone off Ebay but out of Ebay a few weeks ago, met him in the what you could call the Eastern European quarter just off Lincoln high street doing it for cash to save commission no problems. Sold gaming gear on Gumtree when we was still down south to some street rat from Walthamstow no problems and recently sold some stuff off Shpock to some fella up here who came round to pick up no problems.

Bad things if you want to call them that are far more likely to happen to people paranoid of them than to those who ain't worried about it you know, I'd say Ebay gives you the least protection of all thinking about it.

I was kind of joking because I'll probably give it to my younger boy but if he wants something else I will be very tempted to flog it if they going for that sort of money

By that logic you'd rather be sporting Gola or Hi-Tec than Adidas or Nike when it comes to trainers, good for you

I agree, it's not as if they will hold more value, just look at the Xbox one day one edition. For those that don't remember it said day one on the controller and that was about it, yes the scorpio has a bit more going for it but still.

There is no logic to your reply... I’m comparing an identical product. You my friend need to go back to the drawing board and rethink your smart arse reply 😃

I know what ebay takes, I believe he used the £1 final fees, so worked out to about £40 at most. Not really worth it.
