Excellent bear impression!
1)spend all day on one at work/school
2) hate all the updates of drivers etc and
3) don't like using mouse and keyboard.. also
4) you can't beat plug and play and also game share on the xbox consoles is a massive Incentive.
I have a pc and ps4 that I use also for gaming but I didn't hesitate or have to think about buying an X. The 4k br player is also brilliant.
Ps. Please stop the pc vs console thing it's so annoying and it's everywhere from ign to neogaf and now here
I know but that's what is the target audience. World's most powerful console. Why wouldn't I just buy a full fledged PC for this price or may be £100 more which can run all games at 4K anyway and will be quite productive as well.
Gradually over the years, the line between consoles and PCs have blurred.[/quote]
No way your can get a pc to perform at this level for £600. PC fan boys are crazy

Undoubtedly. I still think the ~£250 XBOS is the better deal, but thought this would appeal to the folks that want one. I'm tempted but on the fence.

But heat on this deal.... Very good.
Xbox one x is expensive, but it's for gamers that want the best out of their console and have the money to treat themselves.
Cant decide if i should take the jump or not.
If I was buying a system right now I would go for the X, its over 4 times the resolution on alot of games, It makes the S look ice age

I went and bought 8 enhanced games today from Forza 7 (stunning) to Diablo 3 and they all look amazing and for me that is a massive thing.
it helps the immersion so much.. all 3rd party games will be bought for the X from now while I'll keep the ps4 as I love it and the exclusives are amazing (although i can't get into horizon!)
Also Phil said that next year MS have some surprises up their sleeve regarding exclusives (console)
Xbox One X is essentially a PC now with Windows 10 interface and loads of updates etc. For someone who will be using a Xbox One X, he/she could definitely use a PC in today's world
I understand the simplicity of using a console but as i said before, the lines between consoles and PC are blurry and i cant see the value in the cost of an X being £500 for a game console irrespective.
I have a gaming PC and will be getting an Xbox one X. It isn't one or the other. I'll be buying a 4k oled TV at the same time to make it worth it.

Jump! I have and I’m loving the
World has changed a lot in the last few years buddy Go to part picker and choose a high end card like the RX580 and that will give you better performance than the Xbox One X
Performance doesn’t automatically mean the games will be more impressive, the Xbox games are designed with the Xbox in mind, pcs are a minefield of customisation and conflicts.
Lots of reviewers and experts are in agreement that the Xbox one x will outperform any pc at this price point purely because of this. However a bigger investment in a pc will leave the one x in the dust.
Personally, I will stick to my one s. Being able to just turn it on and go is a bonus. (When there’s no updates)
No, it isn’t.
There you go a custom build for around 600 that will give you a equivalent performance to a Xbox One X.

No need to be aggressive buddy
I guess my point in all this is not to start a war between both of them but just to say that £500 for a console is too much as the target audience will always be gamers and most of them will be young who will have no idea of differentiating a Xbox One S vs Xbox One X. And for those gamers who are old enough, they can easily get and use a PC. So its a lost cause.
I know the value of a console, coming from PC gaming and spending last so many years on consoles, but just the jump in pricing from £200 for the One S to £500 for the One X is too much.
lol what?
No great surprise due to the platform's hardware parity. The arrival of the X is nothing but a good thing for PC gamers, developers are more likely to use high quality assets (e.g. textures) and will be on the look out for frame rate crippling effects at high resolutions (2160p).
On the downside, the X has a fixed specification whilst PC hardware will continue progressing.
It also lacks the same freedom with regard to visual effects such as DOF, motion blur and FOV. Plus the fact 4k/60fps is not possible on every title.
The X has launched at a reasonable price and will gradually drop over time, though it desperately needs some interesting exclusives to tempt Playstation owners.
(Edit: I'm almost certain my fellow PC gamers will be considering an X in 2018 just to play RDR2..... )
Edited to also say your PC is going to need an OS there buddy. And also factor in time to build it. The short and simple is, there's no direct comparison to PC at the moment for the money.
There's something about this one that feels good isn't there? The deals aren't going to get worse, so maybe....

I have a PC with i7 2600k and rx480 red devil overclocked to 580 level, 16gb RAM. I have a 1440p monitor and my pc does not give the same performance as the x.
