This time it’s not about winning. It’s about total domination and an utter disregard for the rules of the road. Burnout™ Revenge launches you into the fastest, most dangerous racer on the road. Exact revenge on rush hour traffic, vindictive rival racers, and everything else that gets between you and the finish line. This time it’s personal. This time it’s about revenge.

KEY FEATURES

• Prepare for Carnage—Battling is the only way to advance in Burnout Revenge. Use the new Revenge Meter to track your progress as you reap rewards for playing dirty

• Choose Your Car, Choose Your Weapon—Every vehicle is a potential weapon, whether you’re ramming an unsuspecting commuter into your rival or orchestrating an explosive multi-car pileup

• Tracks Tricked Out for Takedowns—Navigate multi-level race tracks loaded with alternate routes, extreme jumps, hard stops, and nasty chokepoints. Burnout Revenge is built for battle.

• Car-to-Car Combat—Smash through traffic and wreak havoc to beat the clock in the fast and furious Traffic Attack mode.

Burnout 3 is still the pinnacle of the franchise IMO, but this is still a great game and way better than paradise.
Far better than paradise in my opinion. Used to love playing this on the ps2
Heat from me, possibly my fave racing game of all time.
I played this to death on the 360, was the natural progression from burnout 3 (still the pinnacle of burnout games).
I remember being really really excited for Burnout Paradise, but was bitterly disappointed with the change to go anywhere gta style of gameplay.
Burnout excelled because it had a start and a finish point and you literally hit that boost button to get there.
In Paradise I always found myself veering off the race route and glimpsing at the mini map for guidance almost always ended up in a reck!
In the end I'd end up just driving around not doing the races and got bored very quickly with it.
Great price op heat added.

£8 for a used disc at CEX so this is a good price.

May purchase as I have some credit on my account, is the game enhanced on Xbox One in any way? Shame it isn't Burnout 3 but this is the next best thing. I enjoyed Paradise but not the same.
Servers are offline for multiplayer, unless they have been turned back on.
If they turn the server's back on would buy in a heartbeat
Great game it was.. and it still is.
They should do next gen game like that.

Hopefully gets added to EA Access in the near future...
Thanks OP, had the OG xbox and PS2 ones in the past this must be the best version right!

I loved 3, but the traffic checking in this was so bloody satisfying :).
Damn finally caved and brought paradise last week to get my burnout fix, would much preferred this instead!!

can you play this on 360? i keep selling my Xbox Ones because of the lack of exclusives.
It's mad that this was on the OG Xbox and PS2 in 2005 (in this video), and is still available for download as a demo from live for the 360 13 years later.
And then it comes up as a hot deal in 2019.

Great game though, heat.
It still not as good as blur, which I consider the best car arcade game ever, yes it's another blur comment
I used to play this game so much when it first came out, I was ranked 21st in the world at one point. I reckoned there were about 50 of us that figured out the game breaking exploit to easily win any race against anyone who didn't know it, I only came up against two other people that had it figured it out too. I bet it's common knowledge if you Google it now.
I will fight anyone who insists Paradise was better than this. For me this is the best arcade racer of it's era. Yes 3 was great too. I accidentally left my original disc in my OG Xbox when I flogged it on eBay, immediately bought the 360 version.

Obviously doesn't stand up next to a modern racer but at £5 it's worth it for the soundtrack alone.
What's the likelihood of this going to EA Access. That's the only thing putting me off buying it
Excellent game! #VerticalTakedown
See.. for me, Paradise City WAS best til they revamped NFS Most Wanted as pretty much a brand new game and it stomped all over Paradise.

However.. my kid loves Guns n Roses so yeah

Prolly humungous. Everything eventually does...
Anyone know if the servers are back online for this? Fantastic game both on and offline. I've still got mine on the 360 is it backward compatible for the ONE?

Really, So why would you hook up an Xbox 360 console and all its wires etc for just One game when you can simply play it on the S and have better FPS etc.

As shasnir says that makes little sense, however as it's a digital purchase it will be playable on both however you like to game.

Because it's hidden away in the media centre on the projector. I don't use that for gaming. I use the TV in the Living Room for gaming. lol But i guess i could just get a wireless HDMi or HDMI over ethernet.

Burnout 2 though...

Burnout 2 though...

2 was a great game but felt more like a proof of concept to be honest. Burnout 3 improved on it in every regard. Adding proper takedowns, better more involved career mode, better crash junctions, better sense of speed. 3 was just a more complete game.
It's a great game, but watch out if you're going to be playing this on an Xbox One on a big TV - it actually runs at a low resolution and the game looks very blurry. So much so that I gave up on it as I found I couldn't really see what was going on half the time.

Really liked 3, the crash games were particularly fun outside of the racing elements (which were fun). It did lose something when it turned your car into a nitrous fuelled meteor. Burnout 2 IMO has the greatest game soundtrack outside of Wipeout

My advice to all Burnout fans going into Paradise was to do the road rages first. The cars spawn around you so you can go in any direction and it gives you the perfect feel for the city when you come to do the races. It's all pretty logically laid out, you know if you're going down a certain road in a race you're meant to hit the hairpin for instance, or the region of the map the event is in will give you a good idea of the course, or large parts of it. Once you've got a grasp of the design language of the city it really does make sense, the game opens up like a book... Still probably would've been easier to sign post the tracks like, but, you know.
