DiRT 4 will feature a game changing system called Your Stage; an innovative rally route creation tool that allows you to produce a near infinite number of unique stages at the touch of a button. You choose your location and set the route parameters then Your Stage does the hard work to create a unique rally stage that you can race, share with your friends and then challenge them to beat your time. Your Stage allows experienced rally players to create longer, more technical routes, whilst newcomers can create simpler shorter routes as they hone their skills.

Globally renowned for delivering premium quality, authentic and fun racing games, Codemasters is once more bringing its talent and experience to the world of off-road driving. With DiRT 4, the team have sought to combine the levels of thrill and realism from last year’s DiRT Rally with the fearless excitement, accessibility and adrenalin-fuelled contests previously seen in its critically acclaimed prequels DiRT 2 and DiRT 3.

Featuring classic rally racing that continues to build on the foundations set by the Colin McRae Rally games, the bruising contests from the official FIA World Rallycross Championship, the crazy battles of racing trucks and buggies, and the outrageous fun of open events in Joyride, players will face the challenges from as far apart as Australia, Spain and California in a truly global sport.

DiRT 4 challenges you to “Be Fearless” by capturing the thrill, emotion and passion of off-road racing. It recreates the heady mix of adrenalin and fear that comes from powering around a blind bend and the rush you feel going for a last ditch overtake when there’s not enough room on the final lap of a race. Off-road racing is about more than perfect cornering, it’s about heart-pounding split section decision making where bravery brings reward.

Nice price, I have some argos vouchers to burn so thinking of picking this up there for 42.99

any one recommend it?
Good price for this, I paid £20 more on release day around two weeks ago

it's not the best DiRT game there has been, if not a little disappointing. But here we have it, the cheapest I can see by around £6. It's either going to hold it's value whilst it gathers some sales or drop like a bomb, fast.

Still, we have Micro Machines releasing this Friday, so get them pennies saved

not the greatest endorsement

Not here to endorse games, mate. I post the cheapest I can find, this is that for DiRT 4 at the moment.

It's not a terrible game, it's just not the DiRT game I expected.

What dont you like about it??

I think its a great game. This and DiRT 2 are my favourite. The difficulty is just right, love the stages and selection of rally cars which handle really well.

Positive reviews from IGN 9.2 and Gamesport 9.0 etc.

Couple of issues for example.

The R5 Hyundai you are entitled to as part of the Day One Edition you actually have to purchase with in-game credit.

A tyre change in the game will penalise you around 30 seconds. Ploughing into a spectator is a 4 second penalty.

The career mode feels extremely short and the co-driver will seriously get on your nut, repeating the same thing after each stage.

The game itself is alright, it's just not very polished and seems a major step back from DiRT Rally.

I think the 'mixed' reaction on Steam and the reviews voice it quite well. Only 66% currently rate it positively.

I'm playing on Xbox One, and to add to the previously mentioned issues find that the graphics on the rally stages are a bit shady, not what I was hoping for at all :

Seems most don't find it that much of an issue looking at the metacritic reviews. Averaging 84% is great for a racing game

Yeah, like I say. It's not a terrible game, It's just not the DiRT game I expected, it's just little things I suppose that just keep adding up. If you look at the user reviews they're quite a bit lower. The PC one for example averages a 6.0, but I guess PC gamers just expect more than us console peasants

In terms of the graphics I mentioned above, the user review on the Xbox version seems to hit the nail on the head...

"Dirt Rally on Xbox One looks top-notch but DIrt 4 looks more like a mid-cycle Xbox 360 title than a step up. Textures are ridiculously low-res, leaving trees feeling fake and the ground completely flat and lifeless. The driving itself feels great but it always has, it's just very disappointing that the world around it is so barren and awful looking as to distract almost entirely from the experience."
Nearly purchased this the day after release, but with so many games to catch up on, I held off and write glad I did.

Micro machines however will be different!
I'd have to agree with Buzz here. As someone who preordered and was very much looking forward to the game, it just feels a bit flat. The graphics are decent, the career mode is relatively well put together if a little brief. Its just not as polished as Dirt Rally and has attempted to be all things to all people, with both racer and simulation modes available. Heat for the price, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this at £20-25 before long.....which I'd consider a fair price for this game.
Its a great game..ive completed the rallys and rallycross...i dont think its too short...its just split up into different pieces unlike dirt 3..it doesnt feel as polished graphically but it does control wise...brilliant handling in sim or gamer
Ordered it yesterday. Got it today. Thanks OP. Feeling like **** tonight, so I'll be on it tomorrow.

picked up on xbox one also. I find the graphics a bit shady too, but only on some stages. some stages can look really good, could be the dynamic res they've uses

xbox one x will sort that out
