What's wrong with the code? It's a good deal for a next gen game?

It only works for 1st time new customers.

sounds good to me, can you use the code for anything or is it specific to games?

doesn't matter if it only works for 1st time customers in my opinion. Why is this deal cold? it's the cheapest I've seen for next gen games??

I've seen next gen games at £35 on this site get really good heat. here it's cheaper and get free chocolate?

Yeah, a LOT of people on HUKD (including me) have had bad experiences with Very. I am not voting either way, but the company themselves are responsible for all their deals getting chilly on here.

Some people have said they are fine. Some people have got the discount, paid up, closed the account, then rinsed and repeated with every deal.

I was not one of these people, and in my opinion Very are a pack of immoral b'stards.

First orders only

Hmm i thinking whether or not to place an order with Very

The trouble is, there's no guarantee it will work. They (the whole Very, Littlewoods group) are the only company I've ever heard of that rescind some vouchers after purchase, and even after delivery. Don't know if that still goes on, but it has!

Can use it on anything as long as you meet the minimum of £60 in your basket which does NOT include delivery price.

I believe their T&C's state they can claim the amount of the discount back at a later stage should they deem you have used the discount code and it wasn't meant for you.

i.e. buy the item at this price, used it for 2 months, then get charged again for them cancelling the code. Cant send the item back , pay for charge. The T&C states they can do this to you credit card as well so its not just if you have their account with them.

Hence Very get very cold deals

2.3 Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-
i.you are entitled to use the code;
ii.you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
iii.you agree to the terms set out below.

If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

I don't know what everybody's problem is with very, I buy loads of stuff after looking for it cheaper else where! I also get it interest free and as long as you pay for it on time it's ideal. Never not paid on time but I imagine it is painfull if you don't, heavy interest charge.

OK, so there's another step required (though I still wouldn't do it).

It's not just for New Customers, you also need to signup and pay via their credit system. Not for me like.

My problem was that despite paying on time, they failed to take the payment (even though the online payment notification said it had been processed). I didn't realise until they sent the next bill with added charges. I contacted them to explain it was a missunderstanding and that I had now paid the bill in full, including the additional charges as a sign of good faith, and requested that they reconsider the charges. It was a simple option for them, add a few punds of credit to the account and keep a customer, or keep the money, lose a customer and gain an enemy on sites like HUKD. They were rude and unwilling to even consider that it may be their fault, so I tell you guys what happened in the hopes it will deter you from giving them any money.

Rude customer service, lots of small print. In general, not worth the few pounds worth of savings in my opinion.

Any card payment comes straight of your balance so you know it's gone through

Prices are same as high street

None what so ever, that's why they get away with it.

I've only done this once and it was with heavy rain at launch because there were no deals anywhere for it. Everything worked out OK then but I wouldn't want to make a habit of it.

But surely if you've paid for it is that not contract of the sale completed, especially if it's been delivered, as they have accepted the payment. I know people can't pull this kind of stuff in store at least. Once you've paid for something that's it, it's yours for that price.
Is this different because it's a credit account?

Is different because you're using an incentive to which you weren't entitled. It's basically the same as using someone else's credit or loyalty card.

Very invite this by not restricting the codes at point of sale though so their business practice is basically unethical.

I order from Very and its fine...

If you want to talk to the customer service to resolve a problem however, that is were the problem lies... I have had nothing but issues try to resolve a simple problem which they made worse with their incompetence... And they wanted feedback so I gave them the solution they should have done which would have resolved it in 1 call, not 3 calls and a few emails!!!

Heat added from me good price, and it will be delivered ok...

Your problem is that you didn't read what I wrote. It was their attitude rather than the money that riled me.
