Think all microtransactions have now been removed by the Devs (or at least are due to be) - apparently being able to buy your way to the end ruined the flow of the game.

Who'da thunk it?

My fault, posting from mobile. Took a few drafts
Good price indeed!

Good price. Is it worth waiting for the Gold Edition?
Excellent price for an Xbox One copy and PC. Think I'd personally pay a few quid more for the steam edition, but this is a great buy for those who don't care about a steam library etc

Hated this game. I loved Shadow of Mordor but War is a let down. Just felt rushed and nothing new to use my time on. Still deserves heat at the price tho 😏

What's the expansion content selling for? Tempted to sell my silver edition on Xbox and buy this (pretty sure the season pass has the silver edition content too, but daft releasing a silver edition tbh)
Bloodyhell, I only bought it about 3 days ago for 19.99 at CDKeys

Great game!!!
Hopefully be a fiver by the time I finish Witcher 3.

Does that mean it'll be a grindfest then? Don't mind paying for stuff in game if the initial purchase price was beer money

Normally I'd be annoyed at missing out, like that civ VI deal for a few quid on release, but I genuinely wouldn't have time to play it until it does hit a fiver, what with young kids and getting 30mins an evening every so often to play.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. It'd be nice to have the time, but even when I do it's only for a quick multiplayer game

Haven't played it myself so can't be sure - the first one wasn't tho - and that didn't have MT.

Depends how much fun you find it capturing orcs etc

I loved the first one, kinda weird in that the game got a hell of a lot easier the further in you got, once you could brand orcs you were pretty much invincible. Didn't find it that repetitive really, was in keeping with the theme

It seems that they are making tweaks to the gameplay, too:

No, once micro transactions are fully removed in June they’ll be patching the game to tweak the system to make it less grindy. They made you grind 3 times more than necessary in hope you’d just give up for the end game stuff and buy your way to the end.

It’s not a grind fest.
Transactions are not required.
Amazing game. Game of 2017 for me.
The MTs in this game were blown well out of proportion.
You could get new orcs through gold or silver chests.
Silver chests were bought with currency you got constantly in the game.
By the time I reached the grindy bit, I had so much silver I could replace all of the dead orcs, automatically kill all enemy captains and then just do the next mission.
If they're getting rid of the free silver chests as well, which is implied from what they've said so far, then I wouldn't want to do the shadow wars again.
Great price another game to sit waiting for my kids to go to school in two years
Wow great price, will probably wait a bit longer got loads of games in my backlog still. Plus I'm only half way through the first one!

Have you completed it? The last chapter is a MASSIVE grindfest. Probably one of the biggest I have seen in any game. You essentially have to do the same thing (fort defence and capture) around 15-20 times. I was quite enjoying it uptil there. Quite lazy on the part of the developers
