I will point out that it's on Xbox Game Pass, so if you're only looking to play this quickly, and don't fancy subscribing, it's worth checking out the 2 months for £2 offer.

And I think it's always worth talking about the 3 year Game Pass Ultimate offer. By purchasing 3 x 12 months Xbox Live Gold from CDKeys (£37.99 x 3 = £113.97) you can convert these to 3 years of GPU (Xbox Live Gold / Game Pass & Game Pass for PC) here.

Heat as usual but I don’t see why anyone would pay for this when it’s included in Gamepass!

Totally agree, as I've mentioned above. Personally I'd be converting to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but I've come to appreciate that not everybody wants to. Still, cheapest price I've seen for a purchase on the game

Yeah I would of def bought it at this price if I didn’t have Gamepass but if anyone is going to pay for it at that price rather than for £1-2 then they need there head checking

Well, not everyone knows about cheap game pass availability and 30 quid for this game is well worth it. I just finished 2nd act, so far so good.
will drop in price even more so very soon no doubt as it was cracked today!

For me, the economy of Game Pass has completely negated the need to buy anything. I’ve been stung recently with the additions of DMC5 and Bloodstained, both of which have been around for a matter of months, and both of which... I bought on disc

Not that I’m bitter. It’s simply reinforced the notion that nothing’s safe...
With the game pass do you download the game to your console or does this stream instead as I don't think I have a lot of space left on my hard drive ?

Download but streaming options will be available in the near future when Xcloud is up and running. Personally I will always download, I'm not risking lag or going offline
Only disadvantage so far for me with the gamepass is, Iv become too lazy to finish a game, the convenience of it always being there(to sum extent) has made me not rush games. Normally I would have scorched through a gears game... still at Act 2 and I’m not sure if it’s because it’s just there to play or because it’s not really that good of a gears game... or because I expected more at this stage of the gears franchise.. the new Xbox next year needs to show more than just upscaled games recycled from the Xbox360 era.. sorry for the rant.
Since we all talking about gamer pass. I’m on the pc with no subscription. Will I have any trouble trying to set up 3 years Xbox live subscription before activating £1 gamerpass.
I do not have an Xbox but have an old account I haven’t gamed on since 2013 which I would be using.
Would there be any reason why this wouldn’t be straight forward?
Think I'll wait for it to be down to £1.49p before I buy it.
This game caused me to finally upgrade my Gold to Gamepass Ultimate. I’ve found the game far more enjoyable than 4 - completed it yesterday and just started playing some of the multiplayer (I never normally play online either, but I wanted to keep playing this game!).

Really polished and lots of fun, plus looks gorgeous running on the X. A few times I even caught myself zooming in on textures like a nerd
Great price. Fire added.
I won't be buying it though as gamepass. But I will pick up a physical copy in a few years for the collection when its under 5 pounds to remember playing it.

I have used gamepass on pc with my old xbox gamer tag and haven't owned an xbone. I did this just to play gears 5 but did it for 3 months rather then 1. Which was like £3.99. Just out of interested what do you mean about xbox live subscription? I didn't need to do anything with that.

It is really straight forward. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure you turn off the recurring gateways subscription so you don't get stung later down the line.

Hope this helps?

It’s interesting you say that. I lost sleep trying to finish Gears 4 before 5 came out, and it’s one of my favourite franchises, but I’ve also stalled in Act 2.

I think it’s partly the ‘open world’ thing. After sinking countless hours into both Red Dead 2 and Days Gone, I’ve realised open worlds often add very little, other than the need to spend ages traipsing from A to B, then B to C, then C to D... with very little of interest happening in between.

I also think Microsoft encourage the behaviour of starting games and not finishing them, given a) the rate at which new content is added to Game Pass, and b) the monthly Rewards incentives where you get points for playing a game very briefly e.g. get 1-2 achievements for 250 points. End.

Finally(!), there’s perhaps less obligation to finish a game you haven’t directly paid for. I’m not usually one to halfheartedly start a game, but months ago, I played the first hour of both Rise of the Tomb Raider and Life is Strange: Beyond the Storm, and haven’t yet gone back.

Rant over

Agree💯
Been a massive fan of the campaigns in the Gears games, loved 4 and had high hopes for this but just all feels a bit meh. This is my first time playing online co-op (was always couch co-op) so maybe this has something to do with it but just feels so stale now.

Cold, ice cold. Free for a month trial (obviously has nowhere near a month's worth of content so can finish it well within the time) or an easy £1/month subscription, or the cheap multi-month game pass deals floating around regularly with far more value than this 'deal' especially considering this 'deal' is for the digital version from CDKeys.

I haven't played a Gears game for a while but thought I'd see what all the fuss is about. I played for a bit, but I found the attempt at humour annoying.

For people who don’t subscribe a Gamepass. In another couple of weeks it will be the price of two months gamepass sub... but I’ll get to keep it forever.
