Nice deal, I wonder how much you would get for the FIFA code.

Can anyone explain why there are so many "refurb" Xbox series s/x deals when there are practically none for ps5?

I have a ps5 and a series s and can see why you would sell on the series s to eventually upgrade to a series x or ps5 but that doesn't explain why there are so many refurb series x available.

Despite the impression you might get from this site where value is king, it's possible that after a while spent with Gamepass the average gamer is realising that the majority of quality exclusives are elsewhere (PS5, Switch) and the big multiplats aren't included anyway (Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village etc.) Outside of a deal-hunting community like this, quality of games is the main driver for console sales, hence PS5 (despite the RRP increase) and Switch being comfortably out in front in the UK and worldwide, but still not flooding refurb markets. Think of it a bit like once you've watched the few good things on Netflix really worth watching, you start to look longingly at all the great HBO shows (edited)

I wonder if these are refurbished by Microsoft?

Pretty tempting if so. My One X was bought refurbished from Amazon and it was Microsoft. It was indestinguishable from new.

MS are offering £160 trade in ATM for the One X so this would be a cheap side-grade into the current gen.

PS5 FIFA bundles are £449 (digital edition) and £539.99 (disc edition).

If you (or your kids) are just after a FIFA/CoD/Apex/Fortnite box, this current deal for the Series S is absolutely unbelievable. Stack some Game Pass too and you’re laughing.

Not sure why you are mentioning PS5 prices on an Xbox deal especially as the disc version works out more expensive for less compared to the Xbox Series X.
Amazon are doing the Xbox Series X for £443 (with intrest free options for a lot of people).
Amazon are doing the Retail 'Disc' version of Fifa 23 for the Series X for £55.
Total for both = £498
You could also buy a year of Xbox Live Gold from Cdkeys for £39 and convert it to Gamepass ULTIMATE for £1 and the total is Still cheaper than the PS5.

Next month Xbox Gamepass includes games like Day One release of "A Plague's tale Requiem", Day One release of "Persona 5 Royal" with all the content from the Ultimate Edition and day one Xbox Series X/S console exclusive "Scorn" . (edited)

Was thinking the same thing, I have a PlayStation 5 and will personally play majority of games on that, but for the exclusives the Series S is looking like a nice little backup. Might ask Santa (the wife ) for Xmas

When you look at the items in this "Bundle" it shows the Xbox as £157.50. Can't seem to find it tho

That's just the way that Amazon have chosen to apportion the total price between the two items in the bundle. It doesn't mean that you can buy each of the items separately at those prices. The separate refurbed console is also £209.99.

The last time l got an xbox one x refurbished from Amazon the digital code had been used. However they gave me £30 amazon voucher because of it. So if you are buying this for Xmas might be better checking the code is valid.

Refund went through straight away (£55), returned the controller I bought today too (£43). Upgraded my xbox and got Fifa Ultimate instead. Convinced myself. Failed to convince wife.

.apparently EA haven't fixed the blurriness yet on FIFA 23 for Series S, it looks just as bad as FIFA 22 from playing it and from other comments that I've read, and the players are rendered at 720p.

FIFA 21 looked good on Series S but not any of the next gen versions since then. Better off playing the Xbox One version IMO.

If anyone gets one of these, be sure to research how you get cheap games from Gamivo and using a VPN. Xbox series S is amazingly cheap gaming once you know how. Loads of top games for a few pounds each.
