biggest pile for a long time

Why would you buy a game solely for gamer points? They don't mean anything?

Some people like that kind of thing. I'm all for helping people do what they enjoy doing.

Lets hope black friday and cyber monday has something more in store for us
Auto heat added again
Pretty poor selection IMO
Samurai shodown has got a pretty good discount. Very tempted
Heat for the effort, the only real deal here (in my opinion) is The Surge at £4.
Heat for effort poop selection tho
Should be happy to find a week with no offers you want, saves you money.

Also don't forget what time of year it is, only a few weeks away from Black Friday week, Cyber Monday and then Christmas so loads of offers soon
Great fod the achievement hunter
Alrhough easy jack n jill is a great little retro platformer
Some really good games here if you want easy achievements, for what it's worth.

Easy 1000Gs:
Deployment
Energy Cycle Edge
I, Zombie
Infinity Runner
The Bridge

Also recommend Zombie Driver if you're after six or seven hours of mindless, fun violence.

I thought I was the only one to hold that view.

Microsoft briefly used to give you a slight discount based on achievement points total, other than that, they can be a a checklist of how much you have experienced of the game -if you want to play it till the end or enjoy it enough to spend more time on it. Lots of competitive achievement hunters out there though.

Or just have the shame of having played a really terrible game...
SSDW
Unruly Heroes is recommended. A bit like the recent Rayman games

The sale is called something like achievement hunter sale on the console. Unfortunately the dopamine boost with achievements long since passed for me but I still get in the habit of getting them unlocked.
The Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox gives Microsoft Reward points for completing Quests. The Quests usually involve having to complete Xbox game achievements. Xbox Game Pass mobile app also shows the Quests.

I guess they don't for some. Same goes for leaderboards, 100% in-game stat, all skins unlocked etc. Just a way of expanding the game (if done well and not ridiculously grindy). There are many easy achievement games I have picked up for a few £ and enjoyed. I never bothered to finish GTA3 100% on PS2 but I did on PS4 because of the platinum trophy.

Anyone that doesn't like them can turn off the achievement/trophy notifications in the settings by the way.

Achievements and Gamerscore are a big reason why I prefer gaming on Xbox. PlayStation and Steam tried to copy but their trophies and achievements are rather pathetic in comparison.

Can you cash in the easy 1000Gs? I personally never understand this game score thing, is it just to have a higher gaming score or are there perks for 100% a certain game?

Think of the arcade games back in the 80's and 90's when people were obsessed with high scores and leaderboards. Also achievements let you enjoy more of what the game has to offer and challenges you to try things you wouldn't have thought of. If you played one of these games on a Nintendo console you possibly miss out on many of these things without even knowing.

Your Sinclair used to run a competition where you sent in high scores on a post card, I once did that and simply made up a random high score (for R-Type, I think) and subsequently won a prize the following month, I think it was about £50 worth of Spectrum games. Yes it was wrong, but I was 12. True story.

Problem with Steam achievements is they can be force unlocked with external software. The current Xbox achievement system cannot be tampered with so you know most likely those achievements were earned legitimately.

I remember Microsoft resetting scores to 0 when they discovered cheaters on Xbox 360 (unlocking online only achievements offline without a server timestamp).

YouTube has loads of videos showing you how to unlock Steam achievements Also they are unregulated meaning developers are free to add the most ridiculous achievements that require no skill to unlock!

A game with over 4,000 achievements has just launched on Steampcgamer.com/a-g…am/
"We got 49 achievements in two minutes in this $1 game about drinking vodka and avoiding bears."
