as a ps4 user. You guys seems to get so many awesome deals

As as PS4 user, you would have got Rocket League free with PS+ two years ago, and your controller works properly.

Chin up buddy!

I had stick drift. There's a few vids on youtube. You open it up and remove a small bit of grey plastic. Stops the drift. Wasn't very difficult and I have sausage fingers. Just need a small flathead screwdriver.
Good price if you need all 3. And lets face it, you do, cos Rocket League is awesome.
Already got rocket league and 2 years live saved do I need a 4th controller

I had the same issue on the storm grey controller (presumably the left stick?). Fortunately the mentioned part fell out of the battery compartment after a good shake. Works great now.
Not sure I’m going bite on this one considering I probably need only the controller

You able to send a link for one of those videos? Would really appreciate it. I keep seeing the ones for using alcohol to clean around the stick but dont really fancy trying that. I have 2 controllers, one drifts forward constantly so unplayable and the one I have only had for about 6 months drifts to the left now and again, really annoying!

Hopefully that will work. If not just search 'xbox one stick drift' it was about 2nd or 3rd vid.

Video works. I'll watch it properly later and try on one of the controllers. Thanks

Your thumbstick isn't held in on all sides now.
There should be no play on each stick if you twist it clockwise/counterclockwise.
I find the pad unusable for anything other then Forza.

Forget all that rubbish. If you really want to fix it then buy new thumbstick modules and a soldering iron.
Desolder the old modules and put new ones in. (Though you'll struggle to get one s models with the 33% improved resistance) You'll find the sticks feel sloppy in comparison.
Personally I'd sell it as spares or repair for ~£15 and use the money you get from it to go towards a new One S pad.

And the performance is perfect now?
I'd imagine it would be a short term fix and difficult to reach the exact manufacturer's specifications on the axes.
Many people have said the repair attempt has made their pad worse and they wished they left it with a mild drift where it was somewhat useful still.

It goes from my character walking on their own to not. This is an improvement for me.

The 2nd vid after the one I linked goes down the new module route but I kinda figured if the person I was replying to was confident with soldering irons and buying new parts he wouldn't be sat there with stick drift would he?

Maybe he didn't know that it was a serviceable part and an option?
It could've easily been an integrated part of the motherboard. By the time you've faffed doing the adjustment method to a satisfactory standard it may well have been quicker and longer lasting to swap out the module.

Well like I said the vid does mention the replacement option too and that vid follows on from the 'flick the grey bit out with a screwdriver method'.

I'm not going to disagree repairing it always going to be better if you can be bothered and have the skills and tools.

I can only quote my own experience that the stick feels a tiny, tiny bit loose in the neutral position but it doesn't impede it's use for me.
