I just love the fact I don't need to buy any new controllers for next gen, you get the one with the console. Nephews can stay on the old ones, saves me £150

You , my friend have just saved me £100. I wasn't aware the previous model was compatible. As a casual gamer i don't have all the time or information these days so it'll do for me and let the 5 year old have the shiny new one from Santa.

Yea it's not much of a saving but it's the cheapest I could find it at the moment.

Thing is I'd never criticise anyone for that mate, done it myself, at the end of the day we all want these things I just wish we weren't ripped off by the companies that make them, if they were half this price people would actually buy more, I know I would.
I ended up going for robot white as a second for my series S just to mirror the colour scheme - for some reason random coloured controllers annoy me

I know what you mean but £49.99 before launch for a ‘special’ variant is ok considering the DualSense is RRP £59.99 and the Joy-Cons are £69.99 (lmao).

That being said, I snagged the the Elite v2 from Amazon for £120 last month. Just going to sell the Series S pad to CEX at launch.

Looks lovely. If only the buttons kept the original colouring.
Thanks op. Bought.

Oh man I know, nintendo stuff is ridiculous and the joy con price is hilarious, better off buying broken ones from ebay and repairing them. 120 isn't too bade for the elite 2, I got an elite one at 89 quid ages ago but again just wish they didn't make these so expensive, they dont really care about gamers or they think we are all Richie Rich

Awesome, glad to help. It's great I'll have the nice shiny new one and my nephews can stick with the old. Basically everything on the Xbox one is pretty much compatible with the new console including Rock band 4 which was a nice bonus.
Wish these had gyro controls. Deal-breaker for me.
Have this preordered at amazon as had £20 of promo credit there. Hoping they might price match so it reduces price.
This might sound stupid but do they work with the One X?

Yup, all xbox bits are forwards and backwards compatible. PC, Xbox S/X & Xbox One
Are the venom battery packs any good? Seen you can get them on amazon for £13 as a twin pack with the usb-c input. Xbox official are £20 each...

Definitely not worth it mate, the venom ones are good enough.

I think theyre generally very well built. However the stick drift problem seems to be down to luck. I obsessively look after all my equipment i.e. back in boxes when not in use. But still had stick drift on my blue controller (older design). I also have an Elite v1 in white and that is still looks like new after 2 years...
Perfect for Sonic
How much will the design your own be on the Xbox Lab for these?

Probably between £60-£90 depending on configuration at a guess.
Slightly off topic but Xbox peripheral based has anyone read whether the Logitech g920 will work with the new Xbox?

It will work but my experience with Xbox and PC peripherals is they only work on certain games, not for everything.

Should do, and sorry I didn't realise it was a steering wheel, I thought it was a keyboard 😁
Asda Farnborough were selling the Xbox one wireless controller for 20. I missed it by a couple of hours they had sold out but still had the tag on. I keep going back in hoping they get more stock but think they clearing space for the newer stuff
