This is the Asian NTSC/J version, although not yet confirmed region free on the playasia website, I asked them yesterday if the NTSC/J version of the game was region free & they confirmed that although the Japanese version is not, the Asian verion is.

So make sure you don't order the wrong version, easy to spot as the NTSC/J Japan version is titled Riot Act/Crackdown) and you'll notice the non region free confirmation tab on that one.

I can't be sure if this version will carry the Halo3 Beta, but it is pictured on the box art picture so I think it's most likely.

Please note that the item is currently on back order, this means that you are still able to order & from my experience they usually get them back in pretty quickly. Once they change from "back order" to "sold out", the price may well go up before they restock it again.

Hope that helps some people ;-)

Does amuse me this voting cold business:roll:

Good price.

Only downers being the small chance of being stung on import tax but more importantly you won't be able to trade it in at Gamestation (probably not Game either) as I found to my cost with my dirt cheap Asia version Gears of War.

Fair point about the trading in, but there's always ebay & I don't think you'll stand to lose much there if atall when you're done.

Oh, and for anyone that hasn't used playasia before, it's always worth asking them to mark the package value down. I've bought around 15-20 items from them now & haven't been caught for customs either in England or the extremely strict Argentina where I'm currently residing.

Theres a guy on ebay selling the asian version for £27.99 delivered.

Ordered a copy earlier today, few quid more expensive than playasia but will have the game by early next week.

are u certain its region free? and does it matter for xbox live what region the game is?
Great price:thumbsup:

Playasia confirmed to me that the Asian NTSC/J version IS region free so as certain as I can be:)

It doens't make any difference what region for playing on Xbox Live, most of my 360 games have been the region free NTSC/J ones(I have a PAL 360 by the way).

Crikey, -40 degrees now, that must be a new HUKD record for freezer temperature! Oh well, as only trying to help by sharing a bit of info :?

Yes its region free, i got the american version tuesday

Voted Hot Hot Hot.

Play Asia are very good, and never been charged duty. (seem to remember they now re-send from UK depot so no chance of charges)

Hot for me, a lot of people on here are bitter and will rip you for no reason. Why the hell vote this cold?

Voted hot - I've used Play-Asia in the past too (only once so far, but am planning on ordering from them more in future) and the game was quickly delivered (Rainbow Six Vegas), even if you do get stung for the tax though, in many cases, it's still cheaper than it would be buying it over here normally.

Good find. Ive got a lot of XBOX 360 games from Playasia and had no problems!

thanks for this!

I'm def gona buy GRAW2 and Halo3 from play-asia.... so much cheaper for new games!

Voted hot to a fellow AV forums member ;-)

voted hot as it seems odd that despite several voting it hot, it was on 7 degrees

that's a great deal!

Superb deal, and play-asia are excellent. Remember if they mark it as a gift it has to be worth more than that to be applicable for tax

Hey up smokedog, good to see some fellow AVforumers in here:thumbsup:

Don't forget that not all games are region free so you have to be careful about preordering without checking first. Lately the problem is that once playasia have confirmed a game region free on their website the price tends to jump up $5 or $10 dollars with it, that's why I thought iI'd share the info after they ansered my question yesterday as it isn't confirmed on site yet(they probably prefer people to buy the already onsite confirmed NTSC/U US version which is around £8.00 more expensive).

Should be a cracking little game this, can't wait!

Well mine has been shipped so it didn't take them long to get them back in stock.

Over the moon with that deal, hopefully it will include the Halo 3 beta invitation. According to the description it does.

It does the CD acts as the code but the beta is not available for download yet

Excellent thanks for that, I hadn't read any concreate information on whether the Asian version would have the beta invite.
