XCOM 2 is the sequel to the 2012 Game of the Year, award-winning strategy game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces and XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda below and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.

awesome game! steal at this price

Miles better than the previous game, although still not as hardcore as the original 1995 game.

This is the number one reason I'm not buying it whilst I'm so busy at the minute. I put 123 hours into the first one and Enemy Within...

X-Com: Enemy Within for less than a fiver was a steal, this is alright

good find op, heat added

nice find

Bought this game with a Steam Controller... for me, it's a mess. I've been waiting for it to add normal GamePad support, especially seeing as the console versions are now out.

Bought it on release too

Amazing game, huge time sink, would like to be able to play with the xbox 360 controller though.

X-com games have never lent themselves to controllers. They are a mouse and keyboard game since inception!

Honestly, I thought we were past the M&K vs GamePad argument, especially since more and more people are playing on their TVs. I played the last XCOM games with a mouse first, then switched over to a gamepad and found it significantly more relaxing and enjoyable.

It's a turn based game, so quick reactions weren't required. I thought it lent to controllers perfectly.

I'm contemplating getting this game on console just for that very feature. Going from gamepad to mouse and keyboard felt like a step back for me.

It's not an argument. The x-com format dates from 1994, it was not designed for a game pad.

I don't mean to start one, but you suggested the game doesn't lend itself to GamePad controls, while I feel it lends itself to them perfectly. Being able to lean back in a comfy chair and press the Y button to activate Overwatch is strangely a fond memory of mine

Admittedly, I haven't even attempted XCOM2 on the Keyboard & Mouse, so perhaps it's not as bad as I imagine.
