Cheapest price I have seen for the game digitally or physically next best I have found that is currently available is at simply games physically for £41.85. Have seen digital download prices at this store go both up and down during preorder period for other games.

I quite fancy the collectors edition but it seems harder to come by.
Very tempted

GAME has it listed for the same price as other places had it up.
Very much looking forward to playing it again!

I can't speak for everyone, but I play them

You mean so they don’t have to swap the cartridge in and out?

Pretty much. I buy 90% of games digitally. Only the ones that I know I won't be offering more than once I'll get physically, then eBay them. In fact, sometimes I sell the physical ones to use the money to buy them digitally during a sale (done that with sonic mania and Splatoon 2)

Not really the same price as they have added a shipping fee!
Is this 1 or 2? Never played this series every before. Where should I start?

Exactly. Unless it's a game I know I want to play through once and then sell its much more useful to just have it available at the click of a button at any time. I have to be really interested in playing a physical game to put it in the system, otherwise I just leave my 'current' game in there (at this time DQXI, when I finish that I'll probably switch it out to complete tales of Vesperia or xenoblade 2).

Besides my 'current' cart game I'm usually shuffling between several downloaded games. Atm I'm playing a lot of animal crossing (ideal as digital since you'll want to boot it up nearly every day) and various roguelikes such as slay the spire, binding of isaac, enter the gungeon, wizard of legend, dead cells... Basically games that are ideal to play in bursts for an hour or two when you feel like it.

No delivery fees?

No delivery fees?

Its a little ambiguous. They don't have free delivery listed, but they should. GAME reached out to someone in another thread and said it was a known issue and the delivery fees would be refunded/removed for the Collector's item at some point.

The fees should (hopefully) be getting removed at some point (see my other reply above). If not, you could always cancel if other sites receive stock

Sweet, I will order it if that's the case thanks!

I buy those I know I don't plan on selling again and have a high replayability level

They're both standalone stories that are only slightly linked with each other.

I suggest going with 1 first mainly for gameplay reasons but also because the main character is quite nicely written in my opinion

So this is part 1 remake?

So this is part 1 remake?

Depends what you mean, it's not part 1 remake like ffvii it's the full game of xc. It's been a while since I played them but from what I remember the whole series is set in the same universe, have similar controls and mechanics but are at different points in time, different characters etc. There are a *few* references to earlier games as common themes, races, monsters, bits of lore, in jokes etc but it wouldn't ruin the game if you didn't get them - a bit like ff. They are all good and easy to put over 100 hours in if you do the side quests, I'd say this is my favourite one for the characters and localisation.

They don't own consoles.

I can give you some pros for physical:
1) Can resell if you no longer want.
2) If a digital store-front shuts down you would lose all digital games not currently downloaded e.g. like the original Wii.
3) Physical collectors items that may be bundled.
4) Can lend/trade with friends.
etc.

Didn't mean this as a snarky comment, just cos you wondered why some people opt for physical.
