Thought for £9.98 you couldnt go wrong for a soundbar - for some extra sound ooomph. Will personally b pairing it with a laptop rather than the telly but sure it would work well with either.

It's 40cm in length so would look pretty stupid under a TV, and it will also sound pathetic as it has 3W speakers powered by USB. Good for listening to default Windows bings and not much else I would suggest.

"Monitor soundbar"

Thanx op

Says monitor and being just 40cms it's obviously not for a TV. Decent price for a PC soundbar though. Already got one, I paid 15 quid in B&M and does the job okay.

Probably a decent upgrade from the basic speaker in an echo dot.
Ive already got an echo dot in the bedroom, could wire this up and place it on top of the wardrobe out of sight

OP said "Will personally b pairing it with a laptop rather than the telly" so I wanted to clarify.

Looks the same as this one, which gets pretty good reviews:

amazon.co.uk/dp/…X4M

Doesn't have bluetooth as far as I can see. I would use 3.5mm direct connection but just in case anyone thinks it has bluetooth, it doesn't

Just what I was looking for. Thanks.

Would this greatly improve the sound from a monitor?
Might get one for my son's gaming computer.

Ah not a problem, even though it's a monitor soundbar, a pair of speakers with a sub is way better

Ordered as a stocking filler for my daughter, thank you

I bought one, using it for my echo dot, vast improvement over dots speaker, but that's not hard well worth a tenner

SteamyWee10 m ago

No need to. It's posted as a Monitor sound bar

I suppose if you have a TV where the speakers have packed up you could buy two and a 3.5mm audio splitter. One for the left channel and one for the right.
