Not so hot, as £20 + 10 p&p and you can get Rx 580 8gb from overclockers. Also with Quake Champions PC Game

But then I don't think the 8gb is going to be ~13% faster than the 4gb version - not for the foreseeable future anyway. The xfx is good looking card!

The 8gb is barely a couple of fps faster, if you're looking at benchmarks make sure they are recent as the early ones (often showing a large gap) quickly got outdated when amd released new drivers.

That's the video that convinced me it wasn't worth paying the extra, if there were two identical machines apart from 4/8gb rx 580s you would not be able to tell them apart by playing games on them. Get a 4gb that's a good overclocker and it'll easily beat an 8gb that doesn't overclock well - you still wouldn't be able to tell the difference though.

I don't see any real heat here, not voted either way.

Only on Insane settings, and a 580 doesn't have the power to run that regardless of memory.

Even on 1080p at full eye candy 6GB of VRAM isn't recommended for my GTX 1060, the game wants 8GB.

Exactly, "full eye candy" on that game is insane mode and it actually requires more than 8gb, even a 1080ti has trouble running it. Expecting a mid range card to cope is unrealistic, drop the game one notch to high settings and it needs less than 4gb.
