450W recomended, though it depends what else you have in your PC.

Slow DDR2 memory, wait for the faster ones (DDR3 for only £5 more) to be back in stock xfxshop.co.uk/pro…ned

Good call, caloandrea. It's the kind of detail one could miss here and it'll make a big difference.

Since this card is now sold take a look at the others they offer

all gone now..

still good value i bought mine for £65 2 months ago.

Excellent deal for this specific card.

Extra points for the broken CAPS LOCK.

Avoid! Last time I just got one card not working at all and end up sending it back on my own fee.

It looks like its just a copy and paste from the site, so hardly his fault!

Originally this is 8800 GS, but renamed, thats how nvidia makes money

the 8600gt at £35 is probably a better deal, and is in stock

this card is still the best value for money for ]Folding, with 4508points per day (according to Custom PC magazine).

no its not a better deal. 9600 is more than 4 quid better than the 8600gt

fairly sure 8000 and 9000 are the same cards essentially. certainly in the 9800/8800 range anyway. and if its not in stock then £4 is irrelevant

edit appears the same doesnt apply for 8600/9600. either way its out of stock. eitehr would suit for a budget card for a htpc or general use, i.e not high res gaming

its only a 256mb ddr2 card

is this one any good? its pretty old now (april 2007 afaik)

I really just want a card to have 1080p capability on my comp. I bought a cheap one about a year ago and it cant handle it, just looking for a half decent upgrade. Any advice?

I could do with the same advice for a 1080p capable card as DieKund?
