not a mis price. its been avaiable from scan at near this price on several occations recently

Forgetting it's main use as RAID, would be equally handy for those with new motherboards that don't support PATA drives.

It's a S-ATA RAID controller - so no use for anyone wanting to connect older PATA drives to it...

Sorry, I thought it had PATA ports too. My bad.

...and it's now £11.74

And now it's £35.24

its still £11.74

You are just seeing £35.24 as that is the normal price which is what you see if you click the proudct information page. You need to checkout through the today only page and £11.74 is what it will be checked out. Just how there system works

EDIT: This is a PCI card right? not a PCI-E card. Shame as for £11.74 it would have been nice to have but sadly my system only has PCI-E slots :-(

are you sure?!?!?

Review here.

Looks like a PCI-e may be coming out in Sept. Therefore the price drop.

real world performance of this was very underwhelming for me, since changed to ich8r raid 5 and have a noticeable improvement. also this card insists on becoming device0 which can be a real pisser if you automate installation of windows to move profile dirs etc.

/edit
although for a tenner it'll whoop any comparative software sata raid card so its a bargain in that respect

/edit2
that review i s2yrs old and the company which makes the chipset (netcell) went bust a long time ago so i can't see a pci-e coming soon more like scan are shifting dead stock

£18.19 with Carriage and VAT.
