    Purchased this phone on the early bird offer , really dissapointed with the boastful specs , the device does not stand up to the expectations, especially the camera aand the battery barely lasts a day even with 5G turned off , my MI8 was much better with its limited dual camera ,but atleast i got the redmi pad free so i was able to get some money back with that .
    if it was me i would not get this expecting great things with the camera and the battery. (edited)

    I got the same deal. Would agree with you regarding the camera! I upgraded from the Poco f2 pro and the auto focus, ultra macro, ultra wide and other features in the camera on the f2 pro are much better than the 12T Pro.
    The battery life is better than the f2 pro, yet at times the f2 pro is much smoother and quicker when scrolling through apps, Web pages etc than the 12T Pro despite 12t Pro having a high refresh rate.

    Xiaomi are following a somewhat similar plan to Oneplus in my opinion. Spend ages selling phones very cheap with very good specs for the price, establish a solid fanbase and then make them more and more expensive. This time last year you could get the 256gb 11T pro for £400.

    Penetration pricing strategy agree, I bought an 11T Pro this time last year and struggled to then even sell it for 200 by autumn

    From the reviews on YouTube and like you mentioned in your first post. The phone seemed to be at least on paper very good.
    But reading the reviews mixed.

    The speakers are advertised as Harman Kardon tuned, I would have thought they be really good.

    Any recommendations in the Xiaomi range? Maybe Poco x4 pro? Think a bit old now?

    hey dont get me wrong the speakers are good even ATMOS comes on where available. and i just listned to a couple of songs , its actually quite good , iam genarally quite diapointed with the other aspects of the phone , not quite sure about the other new phones of the xiaomy range TBH , have a look at the GSM arena reviews they are quite spot on, they did mention a few things about the 12T pro but i went for it anyway
