Update: 24/10/17 : Price has dropped down to £359.14

Looks very good, only downside is that it has Windows Chinese version pre-installed. Good for those who can flash a copy of Windows English version or even install Linux.

Silver colour only at this price.

Similar spec to a Surface tablet

Customer support and returns policy poor at gearbox
No good for items £50 and over
Sorry but Cold for me

I bought the 13.3" one from gear best about 9 months ago. Packaging was great, able to track it wherever it was.

Gearbest labelled the package as a '$50 power adaptor' so nothing to pay at customs.

I know mine is a more expensive version, but it's the best laptop I've ever had. Lightning quick, (~7 seconds to boot up), screen is fantastic and build quality is excellent, looks like a Macbook Air

To get the English version of windows, I just bought a Windows 10 professional key for about £15 and followed the youtube videos on how to install it. Took less than an hour and was straight forward.

I would have no issues buying from gearbest again, (already have done). Xiaomi's products are getting better and better, and a fraction of competing brand's prices

Just to counter the above, I bought an Android TV box from Gearbest. £22.99

It was dead on arrival. They did everything they could to avoid any refund or replacement. Even asking for a photo of the problem. When I said it simply wouldn't start, they wanted a photo of the unit. I sent them the image off their website.

Had to raise a PayPal claim in the end and they dragged their feet so long that PayPal bounced the claim. Dunno how they did that.

In any event I now caution against Gearbest for anything over a few quid. And absolutely not for something like a laptop.

I’ve only used gearbest once to order a drone for me son. Still processing after a month so cancelled it

Fair comment in that case! Looks like I've been lucky so far!
I'm guessing with the amount of products that they sell from different warehouses, the service you get could depend on who's dealing with your case and where.

This doesn't have a back-lit keyboard afaik, so what's the picture?

Regarding the Chinese version of Windows, according to this it's easy and free to convert to english...

"Dont let the Chinese Win 10 put you off. If you follow the MIUI instructions for changing from Chinese to English Win 10 (Google it) Once you install a new copy of windows, simply go to activation, dont put in your license key, but troubleshoot and you will be informed the license is for Win 10 home. Click update, wait 30-40 minutes for it to do so...and voila...you\'ll have a legal, activated, English version of Windows 10... "

"30-40 minutes" !!??

I could manually writre a new operating system in less time!!!!

if anything goes wrong.... basically gearbest suck
if all goes right then fine but this is too much to find out imo

Or maybe the level of customer service reflects the value of the order....

Wait so you think if you buy something for more money from the same company the service gets better?

Not even a great deal and from Gearbest so it's cold I'm afraid.

I've just hit 100 orders and everything has arrived.
Never used their CS though.

Change to the HK warehouse.

Pay for it with a credit card and then the card company is responsible for warranty obligations

In the comments section, it is mentioned (more than once) that the keyboard is back-lit.

Is that even if you buy a £800 laptop??? Am planing to buy the new one The Pro Here, but since morning being hesitating about the refund or repair if anything went wrong.
Why don't they sell their goods with amazon or pcworld??? Because am sure if they do they will outsell Dell and have serious fight against Apple!!!

Anyone who ordered this have it arrive yet? My DPD delivery updates say they still haven't recieved it.
