You can connect it to Strava directly now, just install the Amazfit app instead of the Mi Fit App - you'll see an option in the menu to link to Strava

Is this the new Bip S or the original one.

As im thinking of upgrading my original Bip to the new S for the swimming tracking.

Never had a problem with my original Bip swimming in the pool or sea. Had it over 2 years and it goes everywhere, go once a week swimming and 5 or 6 holiday swimming in the sea. Still going strong🤞
Had this in my basket at Aliexpress last night for around £55 with seller discounts and a voucher. Didn't go for it in the end but now thinking I should have.

Ali have a big sale coming up, although I do find their various sales and coupons fairly confusing. Just wanted a reasonably cheap GPS watch for running, as my Galaxy S10e GPS with Strava is terrible!

Can you still see Bip S data in Mi Fit? I have the scale connected to it, it would be great to keep the data in one app

Yeah, I imagine so - it should all be linked to your Mi Fit account, which is also synced across to the Amazfit app.

Try installing it and logging in, but without deleting the Mi Fit app first and see if all your data shows up and go from there

Edit: I should add that I've been using this with the original Bip, but I imagine it still works for the Bip S and other Amazfit watches, but might be worth checking.

This is the Amazfit App:

Nice news for many this one. I have the original bip and have not used the amazfit app but will check it out for sure. I really like the bip watches andm y only issue of using it if I was a runner is the inaccurate heart rate, unfortunately it reads about 15% lower roughly than it actually is when I tested it a while ago. Not sure if it's hardware or software related but you would have to think hardware as it was all reading well? Great battery life and a nice watch to wear as you won't know you have it on.

Nopending store aliexpress.com/ite…p=1

There’s a couple of seller coupons that you can get that knock a few quid off, then there’s also a voucher code on the product page that you enter at checkout.

Looking at the official Huami/Amazfit store it seems the Pace will be £58 in the sale starting Monday. Not sure which is best and whether to hold on. Still think for battery life the Bip S, and the fact it’s a new model. Doesn’t appear Huami will be reducing it themselves on Monday though so think I might go ahead with the link above.

Yeah, I have had the original Bip over 2 years now.. Think I got it for about £43 from Ali Express. For that price, it's been incredible. I would like a watch with a few more options, but I like the fact it's small and really light and I only have to charge it once per month

Same, I can't really fault it. I use it for hiking and to log the route and it works great. I am tempted by the built-in GPS/GLONASS on the Bip S
Waiting for sub-£40

Thanks BTW

I can safely uninstall the mii app now yeah? Thers that many different apps for this thing.
Just an FYI amazfit warranties aren't valid in the UK, had a stratos 2 loved it but developed an issue, ebuyer were great and issued a full refund over year after purchase. Just wanted to share can't say a bad thing about the product though

As long as you've signed into Amazfit and it's showing all the data you have from whilst you were using Mi Fit, then yeah, it should be fine to delete Mi Fit.

I changed over a while ago, so haven't had Mi Fit installed at all for quite some time and all is fine

How do these watches work when it comes to updates? I'm looking for something small and cheap to track my walks and to be able to use something like strava would be great, but I don't want to have to add loads of different apps . Does that amazfit app cover everything?

GEt amaztools app then you synced it with strava
Anyone know of a cheap smart watch you can listen to music on whilst running such as spotify? Hate taking my phone
I've linked to strava via the amazfit app but my activities aren't showing up still and the upload oprioj doesn't seem to be available? Has anyone else successfully linked the bip up to strava?

I can confirm: if you are already using Mi Fit (like I do, with original Bip and Xiaomi scale), once you download Amazfit app, you need to log in with Mi account and then the data will sync both ways.

Also, both devices were visible in Amazfit app straight away, all I had to do was to activate them in the app.

One worry less then, as it seems I have a choice of using whichever I want.

Does that app sort out updates or do you have to keep the original app to do that?
It looks to me that now I can keep both or just the one I like. Not brave enough yet to delete MiFit and check it Amazfit takes over. Everything looks like it should. Update between apps happens upon startup sync.I imagine both apps are using the same @cloud@ repository to fetch my data, but can't confirm

Sorry for the delay.. Yeah, updates will come through the Amazfit app. You don't need to have Mi Fit installed.

The only thing I find that helps is replacing the stock notifications with another app that handles them, but again, that's just on the original Bip, they might have improved notifications for the Bip S.

I've deleted mii fit, it stops double notifications. Everything is fine.

A GPS etc all update through Amazfit. Faster than mii fit for me as well.

I can't seem to find an all day sync option in Amazfit app, but when I launch it, it syncs my ride to Amazfit then within minutes it gets synced to strava.

40834136-wHAe2.jpgThis is the screen to select what notifications you want.

Looks to be just as good, 6 short commutes upped to Strava, 64% left and charged 6 days ago, all with heart rate on.

Still disappointed the bip claims my lowest heart rate is just under 50 daily, still only reports one sleep a day, and steps are a fair bit under from everything else I've used.
Unfortunately the bip's heart rate is mickey mouse, its fine as a GPS tracker though. I don't think I'd use it much though as I have a dedicated gps system for cycling. If the heart rate worked it would be na even better piece of kit but it's still a nice training tool I would say and gives some indication of effort still
This looks like a good upgrade for my Amazfit Bip which has been my favorite ever tech purchase, never lasting less than a month on battery, even with at least 6 GPS tracked workouts per month. There is not a single smart watch on the whole market which comes close to this. The amount of times I read someone with an Apple Watch or Fitbit running out of charge mid run or cycle and it not saving all their hard work! Doesn't happen with these beauties which keep going like a Duracell bunny on acid! It looks like the S has better waterproofing and greater GPS accuracy and a better heart monitor?
