Why would anyone pay this amount of money for a Chinese knock off. …Why would anyone pay this amount of money for a Chinese knock off. Something will go wrong and you are left looking at a replacement within a few months and a wallet much lighter. If this had a price tag if £99 them I would consider it

Xiaomi products are actually pretty good. I own Xiaomi light bulbs, have owned a Xiaomi phone in the past, and have a Xiaomi robot vacuum. Research it.
Lol this triggered my "oled" alert. A Hoover.

Does anybody know if the fittings are compatible with a Dyson V10?

I wouldn't imagine they are, but hey, stranger things have happened.

It’s clearly a cheap Dyson knock off. Pay less for inferior quality and performance.

Not a Hoover. It's a Dyson - no wait I mean Xiaomi.
Call your friends. Watch TV. All from the comfort of your kitchen. Invite them over for drinks all while ensuring your floor is clean of dirt and debris with the all new innovative Hoover Phone Tv from Xiaomi.
Is there anything it can't do?
Disclaimer: You need friends for above functionality to work.
I just recieved the XR (V10 with some extras) - took a while to arrive but very worth it. Loving it!

Do note that this doesn't come with the specialized carpet head - which is the one I use most. Biggest downside is a concern of the battery - but I won't know if that is an issue until next year

Not sure where the claims for this being better than Dyson are coming from, could be paid reviews.

the floor head doesn't have the brush bar so it's no good for carpets. Buy cheap, buy twice!

You can get carpet attachments separately or included with some models. Obviously if you have a lot of carpet it’s better to go with one of those options.

Research is your friend!

I'm a Xiaomi convert. Current mobile, and previous ones, are this brand. Have converted a few people to their mobiles and they're all pleased and converts too! AND it's saved them tons of cash from not buying OnePlus, iPhone, Samsung etc. When I get a new tablet, I'll be looking to Xiaomi first too. I'm very pleased with what I've had or seen from them, thus far.

So I'm on the lookout for a handheld Xiaomi vacuum now. I've owned a Dyson before, and did not rate it at all. And everybody I know IRL who has bought a Shark vacuum has regretted it. I've had a shot of one... and they are just a hard no from me. Rubbish suction in my opinion, and it was too heavy for me.

You can get spare parts for Xiaomi vacuums, so your comment that you'll need a replacement vacuum in a few months is just plain wrong. You have just made stuff up in your head, and then said it out like its fact. That's not cool.

Chinese companies like xiaomi just take technology that western companies have spent millions in R&D creating and just copy it as theres no laws to stop this in china and then sell it at 20% less to make it seem appealing to people who just want "cheap".
Would never buy any product from these companies whatever the price.

"Western companies" take innovation from universities and state bodies like defence and health for free while students wallow in debt and we pay our taxes for that "innovation". Nobody plays fair in this game apart from the ones at the bottom of the food chain (people like me and you): amazon.co.uk/Ent…8-2

As for China, our corporations made trillions on the back of cheap Chinese labour. I guess this is the payback time now.

I’ve got the xiaomi robot vacuum and the quality is incredible, they’ve thought about so many little details and the software has no issues. This should be around the same as a Dyson as dyson is so overpriced

True usually for budget orientated products, their flagship phones rival samsung, oneplus etc in price.
Sticking with Dyson .. I like 5 year warranty and parts are available locally ( if needed )

Look at the r&d budget for any large tech company and you'll see what your saying really holds no water.
You could make an argument that companies claiming IP for developments their staff make should belong to the staff not the company however that is a bit of a tangent,
Also the argument of "cheap chinese labour" is lazy, sure there have been some companies who have been guilty of that but plenty more are just paying the going rate for that country and employing thousands of people who alternatively wouldnt have jobs.

I'm not trying to engage in oneupmanship nor any political discourse, I just wish people were a bit more discerning about where they spend their money. We are a society that's now fixated on "cheap" because we want the new shiny thing but are only willing to pay bottom dollar. Really depresses me to be honest
Sharks incoming!
If you believe a product like this (seems to be well built and from a brand that is one of the biggest in the world) is not for you, don't know what you doing here.
The excuse that is built in china and is copy, blah blah blah. Guess what everything comes from china and everyone copies everyone. What do people want a hand held vacuum to look like ?

no, they don't. whats the best mi phone price vs latest galaxy or oneplus price?
If this is a copy, it is not a copy of the V10. It is more akin to the V8 which I have.

There is a bit of a flaw in the V8 design which my previous V6 dyson didn’t have. The dust can fall out of the dust bin. This is very annoying.

Will wait for a copy version of the V10 or preferably the V11 with the direct torque drive feature.

There are some copies out there but they are not true copies.

Btw this price is not really cheap either. V8 dyson are from £280

Mi 10 is not 799, so you're wrong. And don't mention discounts? Why not? Is it Because then it doesn't suit your flawed argument

your point is wrong, the Mi is much cheaper.

S20 is going for around 560, mi 10 for 550. Oneplus 8 for around 500, the pro for around 660. They're still in the same price bracket for a phone with subpar software especially at the given price.
