this doesnt use the xiaomi app, so although funded by Xiaomi, it is NOT a xiaomi, a similar mistkae I made when i bought the hey plus, can cause issues with language and getting the band to recognise your location

@MrSwitch how does it compare against amazfit bip? Thanks
Plus 5.7% topcashback
Got one of these, great battery life and good quality screen. Seems fairly accurate on walking and heart rate, too, when put against my Samsung Active.

Limited changes to watch faces etc as it's not Android Wear OS but works well for what it does.
Nice one ... Ordered
What are the notifications like on this, and does the watch stay connected to the app alright, i had a Amazfit bip and found it unfit for purpose always kept disconnecting from the app, meaning i could not rely on it, seems their softwere is just not up to scratch.

Get a Samsung Active for £90 second hand in CEX, the newer Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 2 are hardly any different and you'll benefit from the Samsung compatibility. Speaking as someone with the same phone.

First thing you need to do is turn off the auto 120hz refresh. As nice as it is, it really kills the battery.

yeah, it will do and reduces resoluton to FHD+ I think. I like to set stuff manually, though to find the right balance.

Difficult to say as I'm often leaving mine on a cradle due to not being out and about too often, but I was getting a stupidly low amount of hours at first with the initial settings, maybe 5-6 hours altogether, so less than that as screen time.

Funny enough I just moved from the Max to this, EE yearly upgrade thing. Actually paying less a month. Got it because of the free earbuds, the Xcloud and Stadia support and the pen. Will see what happens next August when it's time to renew again.

@MrSwitch how does it compare against amazfit bip? Thanks

If it helps, I've got an Amazfit Bip, been using it for 2 years and I looked at this.
I don't see the point as it doesn't look like much of an upgrade to me.

Its better at some things, I couldn't get a detsoled picture of the moon with the max but easy with the note 20, blurring is faster in the live focus mode, colours are more vivid but not necessarily more realistic, night vision not as good
41892959-gx7vf.jpgApple watch 5, Samsung galaxy active 1 and the Solar for comparison
I have a haylou ls05. Really impressed with battery life. Can get around 2 weeks with one charge and heart rate monitor on 24/7. Step counter is ok, sleep monitor sometimes inaccurate.
Decent review here :- gsmarena.com/hay…php Love the battery life. Bought and Thanks.
Hey, @MrSwitch - any chance you can give me a recommendation of a good budget smart watch that has NFC (needs to work in the UK) and a decent battery (at least 5 days if poss)? I'm currently using a Bip but the screen dropped off yesterday so I'm in the market for something new. Prefer to spend less than 150 if possible.

The only watch that fits my criteria that I've managed to find is the Versa 2.... The only drawback seems to be the lack of built in GPS, but I'm not too bothered about that. EDIT - Just read that Fitbits NFC doesn't work in the UK? Back to the drawing board. Any suggestions?

how's the software on this? just reading through reddit discussions about it and plenty of people reporting bugs / data inaccuracy, and very bad reports about the app. I have a mi band 5 arriving in a few days and wondered if this would be better, but I'm thinking probably not.
Some say it never gets firmware updates, can anyone confirm. Xiaomi mi bands get regular updates.

But it does support Curve which is basically a card fronting service. You pay with curve and it will actually charge whichever card you choose, including the option to change your mind (once) at a later date for each transaction.

If you can find someone who already has Curve there's also a referral scheme to get £5 credit.

No choice for me, but it's useable for what I need. Camera is more manual so you need to learn what mode to have it on, though really should be ready to shoot at any opportunity. Haven't had an issue with normal mode but live focus can give varied results.
Battery, I agree, is terrible for the price.

Xiaomi gives large monetary grants to new brands, which is why you see so many 'Xiaomi' products. Most of them are completely separate.

your one is the newer model, better value esp as it has a 20 quid discount voucher at the moment
Dang- I thought "Solar" meant there were solar cells in this to charge it, like on my old Casio watch.
