Can this be used for Strava?

Yes, data can be exported over to strava
I have one of these so if anyone has any questions then fire away!
What file type can it be exported as? Is this the same file type as the lite version which I was tempted by?

Not sure since I don’t use strava but hopefully someone else can answer your question
One bizarre feature of this watch is that you need to wake it by pressing a button before the touchscreen will respond. This would annoy me too much!

Just realised you say you have both Amazfit watches. Is the Pace worth the extra £40?

Same as the mi band 2 then in that respect. It's not as bad as it sounds but I agree annoying. I thought it had a light Lcd type screen that can remain constant, that's the screen cover on the lite version on the post listed there. Hmmm
I'm waiting for a version with the e-ink screen (reflective display) and no button press to wake!

Yes it can... I thought at the start I had to export the data each time but it turns out that with the latest updates, you can sync the phone to the amazfit ap, then link the amazfit ap to the strave ap and it posts up my commutes every day within a few hours of completing them.

If you do want to export, you can on the watch (to a gpx file) then pull it across via usb.
For the record, I think the PACE is brilliant. I would be very tempted with the BIP if I could find out if the Strava linking worked - otherwise it's a bit of a pain manually pulling files off.

Sleep monitor on this seems to work pretty well and makes for interesting reading especially because I have a relatively new child!!

And HR monitor appears to be bang on I'd say, although, I haven't done a test as such. So it's based upon believable results when sat on backside / walking / cycling hard etc.
oh, finally, I think the latest update has beefed up the vibration (is this possible?!) or certainly made the alarm go for a lot longer - anyway, the vibe alarm wakes me up no problem. A very useful application for when I need to slink away in the morning and leave wife and kid snoozing*.

* - singletons may find it useful to slink away from that last night's conquest

Same question here! What do you think when comparing both 04muim?

I definitely think it’s worth the extra money!

Pace vs BIP

More elegant design with a ceramic bezel
Smoother UI with better animations
Larger watchface
Uses standard 22mm bands so easily swappable
Native music control and ability to store songs on the watch
Good battery life, 3-5 days. I’m getting around 5 days with average use, I don’t really use the GPS much
More fitness tracking options
Also has a training centre which creates a plan if you’re preparing for a marathon, it creates a schedule with rest days and certain distances
Can set alarms directly on the watch, you have to use the app for the Bip
Double tap screen to wake/ unlock feature

BIP vs pace
Much longer battery life
Simple notification and fitness tracker
Smaller size so suits more people
Has a find my phone or watch function, pace doesn’t have this for some reason

The question is....will you be splashing out for the more expensive Stratos as well! Hoping for a deal on this myself.
Personally I would avoid geek buying. I ordered the stratos on and it was supposed to ship within a couple of days. After over a week and it not being dispatched I cancelled. Now over a week since then and I still don't have a refund! The global version of the stratos is available on aliexpress for those interested. Ships at the end of the month.

This screen is transflective, meaning it reflects sunlight like e-ink and can pass light from behind like a normal display. In theory it's the best of both worlds.
When running, what display does it have? Can workout time, pace and HR be displayed simultaneously?
Chinese version of V2 is out at a much higher price ("Stratos").

There is a comparison chart at the bottom of the page.

Displays all that you have mentioned. Can display either 4 or 6 fields of information.

Strava can be pulled off on the notify fitness app on Android. On the wider question i have now taken my bip on an 8 miles walking and one thing i did notice is the pause gps needs a lock as my coat set it going again. It also needs. Hcx pulloff on the original app. I have retired my garmin because of this watch. Its geared to runners who done wear a coat. Until the PACE get memory lcd the BIP is king atm imo

Do you need the strava paid premium version to export to strava or can you do it with the basic version? Also have you plugged it into a computer to see if you can manually take the gpx files from the device? I am thinking of the bip lite version. Finding a lot of people asking g similar questions but not covering these details?

For info, I have the basic strava so Prem is def not required.
With the PACE, I first started doing this: Select Activity on the watch / Export it to GPX / Manually connect to PC via usb / Pull GPX file across to PC / Upload to Strava website
Now with the PACE, as long as I have the Amazfit ap and the Strava Ap running on my phone, my watch syncs automatically and my activity is posted on Strava without my doing anything other than record the activity on the watch.

I don't know if this seamless process works on the BIP.
